Airport collection: How are the discs packaged?

I picked up the Tremors Franchise pack recently and was saddened to see the infamous 'overlapping' disc packaging. While it is annoying having to pull out one dvd in order to get to the one underneath the other.

I am ok with that packaging on single sided dvds. Since I can at least lay the top dvd on the artwork side while I pull out the bottom dvd.

But the Tremors pack has 4 films on two double sided dvds. And it's nearly impossible to pull them out without touching/scratching the bottom disc. And then their is the issue of where to put/how to put the top dvd while you try to pry the bottom dvd out of the deathgrip holder. Since there is information on both sides of the disc,I do not want to set it down on the table/shelf/whatever and risk scratching it.

So I'm worried about how the Airport set is packaged. Since I'd like to give it to my mom for Xmas/birthday this year, since she loves the films. But if the discs are double sided and overlapping. I'll forget it,since she'd break them trying to get them out most likely.
