What was that? At times it seemed as if it wasn't even originally written as a Smallville script, but was adapted from something that no other TV show wanted. The only good thing about the show was that it gave Allison Mack a chance to show her acting chops. And I hope they didn't pay the writer full price, because I'm sure the Lana/Clark exchanges were lifted from previous episodes - or maybe it just seems like we've heard those conversations before.

I liked the dark tone.
Kudos to Allison Mack.
Yawn on the Clark/Lana stuff. Enough already. They should have killed her and let us be done with it.

The outdoor shot of the mental institution was my old college, Mount Saint Vincent in the Bronx. Where the hell did a show filmed in Canada and produced in LA find a still shot of a little college in Riverdale? Weird.
Mediocre ep at best. It really was like they took a rejected script from Supernatural and filmed it for Smallville. Clark didn't even save the day. They should have, in exchange for the ep, sold Supernatural for their whole, stretched beyond overdone Lex/Lana/Clark thing.

"Why didn't go to each other? That's what couples do."
Huh? I thought they officially broke up and were no longer a couple 2 weeks ago???
Other than that, it was nice to see a Chloe episode.

Did Tom Welling have most of the week off? He was barely in it.

Crappy episode at best. Extended Allison Mack screentime was the only good part.
What's the next one gonna be about? I don't remember if I saw a preview or not.

The episode description made it sound like it was going to be a "Lois episode" --which I only want to see if the ep features bikinis or stripping, but it turned out to be a "Chloe episode", so I was pleasantly surprised.
But other than that, I'll echo the resounding "meh" being voiced in the thread.

I'd just assume they close up the series completely if these x-files episodes keep happening. Kill Lana and Chloe, have Lex move away from Smallville, have Clark begin his infatuation with Lois and have them both get jobs at the Daily Planet and call it quits.

Will we get an extended/deleted scene of Chloe in the shower on the DVD?
There are really only two things that keep me watching this show in a half assed way: Allison Mack, and Tom Welling's acting. It would be nice to see him in a larger role than this bunk.
