Actor Brock Peters dies; best known for "To Kill a Mockingbird"

Sad news. "To Kill a Mockingbird" is my favorite film, and Peters' performance was heartbreaking:

He'll always be Admiral Cartwright from Star Trek IV and VI to me. Just saw him in Soylent Green a month ago or so on TCM.

He also voiced Darth Vader in the Star Wars Radio Drama. He'll be missed.

I loved him as Sisko's father in DS9 in addition to his film roles. He will be missed.

He'll always be Admiral Cartwright from only Star Trek IV to me. I didn't like seeing him as a turncoat in Star Trek VI. And if you listen to Nicholas Meyer's commentary, he didn't enjoy it that much either.

I remember first seeing him in The Incident (1967). What a great film.

I also agree, this is the role I've seen him most in, and I couldn't imagine him not being there.

For some reason I had forgotten he was the elder Sisko. I do remember thinking the performances were very good though. A sad loss.
