Guns N' Roses demo leaked - "IRS"
A few parts of this were leaked last week, now the full demo has come out.
It's definately rough, but there's certainly potential. Hopefully Chinese Democracy is released within our lifetime.

I wonder how many people out there are actually excited about hearing the 'new' album. Oh My God was ok, but sounded nothing at all like GNR.
I, personally, think it would be cooler if it was never released. Make it a posthumous release.

I felt it had potential too. Certainly not great but since it was almost impossible to hear anything but the vocals I'm not going to judge it too harshly. Almost sounds like someone set up a tape recorder outside the practice room.

it's because after you click "free" it makes you wait a minute or so before the download link appears. try that.

I still say Axl was the heart of the band, and although I'd prefer the Appetite lineup (esp. him with Slash, Duff, and Izzy) I'd rather he kept the name than let it just die or allow someone else to control it and license GNR songs to beer commercials or something. I don't think he'll ruin the original band's legacy, and of course I don't think that's his intentions. Like most fans I'd rather he called this new lineup something other than Guns N' Roses, but would that one fairly trivial thing actually stop you from giving Chinese Democracy a listen? Any non-retard knows this isn't the old Guns N' Roses, so it's not like someone could validly bitch that they paid for a show and "where's Slash?" I don't expect the new album to sound like AFD or the UYIs, but I think Axl is talented and I'm still interested in what he's been working on for so long. Just stop trying to tweak the fuckin thing to perfection and just put it out!!!!!
I'll bet most of the people who go see Axl and the new band in concert are going to want to hear him do most of the old Guns songs (plus some new ones scattered in) so if he wants to keep the Gnr name alive, so be it. I see it a little differently than when Velvet Revolver covers "It's So Easy" or "Mr. Brownstone", because Scott isn't the original singer. I honestly don't care at this point. Just please Axl (speaking directly to him b/c any smart person reads the DVDTalk boards
) finish the album in the next year or two. Oh and lose those god-awful braids. I still cringe thinking about them. Were they some sort of mid-life crisis attempt at hipness? Even the man who wore everything from a kilt to biker shorts on stage could not make them work. For the sake of everyone's eyesight get rid of them now. And put the album out too.

Is Robin Fink still playing guitar for G`N`R? I know Trent Reznor basically kicked him out of his touring band because he was supposedly dedicating his time to another project, I assumed GNR.

Form a new band. He's just trying to make bank by using the GNR name when it's obviously NOT GNR. It's Axl Rose and a new band. So just be a new band. I just think it's kind of funny. And no, I don't like Axl enough to give his new album a listen. Like I said, Axl was not the reason I liked GNR so much. True, he helped contribute to their distinctive sound, but I like their music much more than his voice.
