Got sims 2 for pc, but after about a half hour or so, the game will freeze or lockup or just shut the computer down. I was wondering what causes this, here are some basic specs.

256mbram
40gb hd
9200 radoen vid card
windows 98
16x dvd rom

I was thinking it might be the memory or video card or the settings in game.

video card is fine....256 ram is low though..i have 512 and that's just enough

I would get more RAM. If the problem persists, it may be heat related.
