I'm more amazed at the staying power of Seven Samarai at number 5. It has the fewest votes in the top 10 but has maintained a good position for some time now. I guess that mostly every film fanatic has voted for it though.
It is a great accomplishment on a site that has a lot of people writing entries such as, "Bladerunner sucked .... it was boring .... Go see Zoolander instead .... end of qoute"
*the above entry was fictional

DVD Talk Ultimate Edition
Don't mind me, i am wired up on caffine, and just finished a paper, so if i ramble jsut ignore me, but...
i think the biggest shocker of that group is fight club, i mean that's weird company.
All the rest are movies everyone has seen repeatedly. LOTR is of course going to be there, as is starwars, raiders, and the godfather. they are movies that most will agree are some of the most pop and best of the last 30 yrs.;
The matrix was huge before reloded and rev; Pulp Fiction, The Usual suspects, braveheart, and shawshank are film with big cult followings; Silence of the Lambs, Sixth Sense are considered 2 of the best thrillers; Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's List are 2 highly acclaimed dramas that are considered really powerful;
Gladiator, for some reason, is many people's darling of an action film, it was one of the reasons (as was the matrix) that joe-six-pack got a dvd player;
Even American Beauty won an oscar, but fight club never really got big. i mean i love it, and on campus and among friends we talk about it alot. but it seems out of place among these other movies. that list bascally says it is one of the top 20 most popular movies right. it just seems weird.
