Portable DVD player questions (region free?)

I bought a Craig CDV510 portable DVD player and the manual says it can handle both NTSC and PAL signals. Problem is the player is Region 1. Is there any chance that because it does both singles it might have a way to make it region free?

Sorry...I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm hoping you can tell me a little about this DVD player. I just picked up two (two kids) at ToysRus for $149 a piece. Seems like a great deal but i can find NOTHING on the Internet about them. Not even on the Craig Electronics site. Have you used it for a while? Held up well? Any problems/issues?

got mine at TRU as well. I couldn't find anything about the player online either. I've had it only for a week.the picture quality is actually pretty good, and I have had no problems with it thus far. wish it came with a carrying case though.
