house of bamboo was supposed to be out that day

laura, nightmare alley, and streets with no name on june 7

the dark corner, hangover street, and the lodger on september 6

anybody have straight answers

Fox Film Noir Collection



Due on March 15th is the first wave in Fox's new Film Noir Collection. Call Northside 777 arrives with a fullscreen transfer, Dolby Digital mono and stereo tracks, an audio commentary by James Ursini and Alain Silver, Fox Movietone News and trailers. Laura arrives with a fullscreen transfer, Dolby Digital mono and stereo tracks, an audio commentary with David Raskin & Janine Basinger, another track with Rudy Behlmer, Movie Tone News, Biography: Jean Tierney and Vincent Price, a restoration demo and trailers. And finally, Panic in the Streets arrives with a fullscreen transfer, Dolby Digital mono and stereo tracks, an audio commentary with James Ursini and Alain Silver and trailers. Retail is $14.98 apiece.

www.dvdanswers.com reported the same thing. I don't think Fox would send out a false press release.

good to here....was bummed when i heard it was coming late. I wish Fox would box these up like the first of the studio classics line with the sunrise dvd for nothing...we'll see

anyone else excited about this....i expected a mad dash of people ripping their shirts to here it was coming out that day

Nightmare Alley was one of my favorite books. The film was good too and a real noir classic. I'd been looking for it for a long time but just found someone on Ebay that made a DVD from a print. Don't know how that happened and would love to know the story if anyone here knows.

Now I'm waiting for Prince Of Foxes.

I'm very excited for this noir series. The prospects of 12 new noirs from Fox this year is too good to be true. I'm excited just to get the films with decent prints, but to have good extras too, well, that's just fantastic. Between this and another WB noir box (and hopefully more from Universal as well, like, ahem, Double Indemnity, maybe? please?) it looks like it is going to be a fantastic year for fans of film noir.
