La Femme Nikita: second season re-release???
ok im confused, dvdanswers.com is running an article showing nikita releasing on 3-15-05 http://www.dvdanswers.com/index.php?...3730&n=1&burl=
yet i have had this set scince 7-21-04 ... is there something new on the set or different?? i know there was talk of problems / issues but my set is 100% ok and i dont recall it being yanked from shelves
what did i miss??

Welcome to last summer.
Really...you didn't know about the recall? The release was pulled just week before official street date. As you said, 7/21. However, some lucky bastards got the set at stores who broke the recall.
Question. Have you seen the set on the shelves since? Isn't that a bit suspicious?

We often hear how music rights can affect a season set of a TV series, but fans of La Femme Nikita felt this more than most last July when season 2 of the series was pulled a week before it was scheduled to be released. The licensing issue was solved by replacing the song that caused the problem, and now the set is scheduled for March 15th, 2005. The set is part of the Warner Bros Television 50th anniversary promotion that we reported on in November. We've also been told that Warner Bros hopes to release the third season later in the year, though a time frame wasn't given.

I was happy that they announced that season 3 is coming out "sometime" next year. I love this show and have a paranoid fear of them not finishing the releases. Each set is a big victory for me.
And most folks who had preorders at dvdempire, amazon, and digitaleyes ended up with their orders for season 2. It was too soon to the release date to catch them all.

I just picked up a set for my GF (who is watching it as I type this) off ebay for about what it would have sold in stores. It made for a good xmas gift... nuburycomics was selling a bunch of them. It's the legit release in case anyone can't wait a few months.
