Any of ya'll tried watching all your dvds consecutively w/ enough sleep and rest??

i have 394 dvds, and i was wondering, since i have a month off til school starts, i should watch them all one after another, just stay home for awhile, after all i did spend over 5000 bucks on all of em.. anyone ever think of that?? i know it's craaaazy, but i was wondering if i'm the only crazy one to think of that idea..??

Take an average of a 2 hour movie; that's 12 movies you could watch in a day. 31 days in a month, so that's only 372 movies you could watch, and that's if you didn't sleep at all.

A month? Even if you stayed awake for the entire month, that wouldn't be enough time.

30 days x 24 hours = 720 hours.

That's less than two hours per DVD ... not enough time to watch the movies and all the extras .... probably not enough time to even watch the movies without any extras.

Maybe you should've come up with this crazy idea a couple months ago. As it stands, you're merely a lunatic for the mere suggestion.

talk about priorities (SP?) with DVD rentals from both Netflix, Nicheflix, and going to the movies, I've gone slightly mental in trying to catch up the movies I want to see.

Assuming an average of 95 minutes a pop, with 948 discs, that'd be 90,060 minutes, or 1,501 hours, or 62 days.

Although this idea is a little over the top, there is definitely some merit to it. Once you start working full time, it's pretty much over for having a lot of time to watch DVD's (at least in my case... It doesn't help that watching a certain baseball team is priority over DVD's also).

Be a bum and watch as many as you can! Put the pizza delivery on speed-dial, buy a keg and watch movies until the cows come home! I wish I could

you mean people actually watch their DVDs? I thought they just bought them to have.

seriously though, I have been thinking about watching atleast 1 DVD every day. and if I have time maybe 2. right now it's more of a weekend marathon kind of thing.

How about if you rigged up a few of DVD players and TV and watched two or three movies at a time?

Bathroom breaks? They make bedpans for a reason.

And as for showers, well it's not like you're going to be leaving your house any time soon, so no one else has to smell you.

Sure, go for a 30 day DVD binge, film it and make it into a documentary: DVD Me!

tried it.......without the sleep and rest

heres what happens

0-48 hours: everything is pretty normal. especially once you make it past the 26 hour point. you wont be tired anymore.

48-72 hours: you may find yourself having to repeat a couple of scenes. no big deal. just a bit of a wandering attention span.

72-96 hours: am i still watching movies? which one is on now? which one did i watch last? and why is there a purple frog hopping across the coffee table? theres no frog you say? oh yeah i think i was watching a movie....

96+ hours: have to ask someone else. thats as far as i made it

being bored and always wondering how long i could stay awake coupled with my dvd habit caused this bit of madness. i got up during the credits for a drink, bathroom, and had a plate of sandwiches made in the fridge. other than i didnt leave the couch. i had the phone off as well so that i would be uninterrupted. if you decide to try this, let me know!! we can trade experiences.

Sure, go for it... with one difference. Don't try to finish in a month. Just don't set an end date.

Man, I don't know if your attention span is less than mine, but I can watch my entire 500+ DVD collection in about half a second. I guess maybe an hour or so if I stop to read all of the spine titles.

If you have a good series do a marathon. Anyone try watching X-Files Season 1-9 on DVD in a row?

I'd rather go to parties and have sex with girls. You know, stuff that's not retarded.
