Muse Tour

so was anybody at that Atlanta show? that must of sucked.
Their first show in america in years and he busts his lip open by slamming his guitar in his face a few songs in the set.
I had tickets for the philly show but now that is postponed. Anybody going to the New York Bowery show tonight? Of course I don't have tickets, but through some stretching of the truth I was able to obtain a press and photo pass so I am there. I know it's wrong, but the ticket system is a corrupt system, sometimes you have to do questionable things to see a band. Hopefully he is able to sing ok, it seems like having your lip stiched up a few days ago might have an effect on their performance.

Not a good start to the tour, huh?

I had no idea they were even in the country. I assume this is some kind of East Coast only "mini-tour"? Hope things go a little better for the other shows.

Let us know how the NY show turns out!

Thanks for posting the dates!

If they'd come to Portland, OR I would have been all over it - but I just can't see myself driving to Seattle or San Francisco for the show... ah well. Maybe next time!

Giles, it's cool, I was just lazy and copy/pasted from microcuts.

The show last night was insane, they are such a well oiled machine. Basically went through all their hard stuff, no breaks, no encore with a little talk..and I respect that. They're so tight live, and Matt Bellamy ownz every instrument he plays, and you realize how good of a bassist Chris is when you see him live. Citizen Erased was so elite live, they have a pretty good set list spanning all three albums, no ballads though, probably the best show I have ever gone to. His lip seemed fine to me. I had a photo pass so I will post a link up to some pics, though they're not the greatest cause some dude's hands were always in the way.

Their song "New Born" is used to excellent effect in the horror/slasher flick "Haute Tension".

That's to bad they concentrated on their 'hard' songs - my favourite ('ballad') song is Unintended

you wouldn't have known what the setlist was by chance??

Yeah, you figure they would play Blackout or something or at least. But no Unintended, and yes this is my favorite song by them probably all around, I noticed lately they haven't been playing it all though which is a shame. I guess for American anyways, they want to be seen as this hard edged type band. I'm sure someone will post an official setlist, I'll just try to go by memory and in the best order I can remember, in fact this order will probably be totally wrong.

Hysteria
New Born
Citizen Erased
Butterflies and Hurricanes
Sing for Absolution
Thoughts of a Dying Atheist
Sunburn
Time is Running Out
Bliss
Plug In Baby
Apocalypse Please
Muscle Museum
Stockholm Syndrome

I'm pretty sure that was all of the songs.

I am going to check out Haute Tension.

It seems like a lot of British bands think they have to appease the American market this way. A number of years back I caught the band Symposium on the Vans Warped Tour and several other non Van's tour dates, and even though they had excellent slower less aggressive songs, they also found it necessary to play their edgier songs. Let's just say I was a tad disappointed.

Oh man, I got excited when I started reading this, but I think I'm out of luck. I SO wish they were coming my direction. I'm in Minnesota and the nearest show is Chicago, a good 7+ hours away.

Any chance anybody plans to record one of the shows?
