Are there any good sniper games for the PC?

Been playing Call or Duty and Wolfenstein - E.T. I really enjoyed the sniper aspect of these games. Are there any games out there dedicated to snipering?

Not dedicated, but both UT2k4 and Far Cry have lots of awesome sniping. Far Cry even has a "hold your breath" button to increase your accuracy.

Both of these games have better sniping than ET or COD.

Edit: I forgot about Ghost Recon, you can get the game and all it expansions in one box for cheap now. Lots of good sniping.

Ghost Recon features a lot of long-distance sniping.

My favorite sniping has always been in the Rainbow 6 games, though I haven't played the lastest one.

Unfortunately, it looks like this game has been delayed.

Soldier of Fortune II had some cool sniping, if I recall.

For the past year when I play UT99, I play only on sniper/camper servers like [WOLF], :[lol]:, [SUF], or 1 shot 1 kill. It's a gentleman's (and lady's) game wherein you move quickly to your fave sniping spot and wait quietly, looking for headshots. No running and gunning makes for a refreshing change. If you are looking for more of a modern sniper simulation, then the only one I have played is Marine Sharpshooter. You get a spotter you can order around, etc.

god... every time I click on a link to the onion without noticing, I want to curse the person who put it there and demand my 30 seconds back.
