It was in USA Today. No official word yet, but it is likely that there will be 35 new episodes produced and to air either on FOX or just continue with the new episodes on Cartoon Network, which I would prefer. Cartoon Network deserves to reap the rewards for bringing this show back to TV. Don't expect new episodes until January 2005.

Great news, I hope it does come back. I have just recently started watching this on the Cartoon Network, and man I wish I hadn't slept on this show. After about a week of watching I think my favorite episode is the one in which Peter finds out he is black. The scene where he narrates his life had me on the floor. But I think my favorite character is Stuey. I am planning on getting the DVD's soon.

It is a long wait, but it should be worth it. It was a great show when it was on. I'm worried that when it comes back on, that the new episodes won't be able to deliver. Most likley it will, but I just have this feeling...

So is McFarlane going to do both Family Guy and that American Dad show? AD didn't strike me as promising, but I guess the concept of FG doesn't sound too good on paper, either.

Not saying Futurama isn't a good show, but it's just not that popular. Not as popular as Family Guy anyway.

actually the main reason they have said that futurama won't come back is because of its large budget. It has enough support that it could but it cost 1 million+ per episode, which is way too high for a cable show.
Anyway great news on Family Guy, that show rocks.
