Now, YOU can experience....!

sound from a banner ad every 7-9 clicks, even if you've clicked "turn off the sound"!

Seriously, I don't mind the LOTR:TTT:EE banner ads, but the sound is a pain. And EVEN IF you turn off the sound on one of the ads, about 7 clicks later, there is the ad again, offering "now you can experience..." once again.

I'll be buying this, but it would have been nice had a cookie remembered me saying "no sound, no sound"!!!

Never bothered me until today. For some reason i've gotten it about 7 times in the past 5 hours, i just had to mute the computer. It'll be over soon.

Now you can experience.....

Surfing this site from work can now get you in trouble with this pop-under audio ads.

I couldn't figure out who was talking in the distance. Then I realized the sound was coming from my speakers which I had previously turned way down.

Yeah, I don't think much of audio-ads. Definitely not work friendly.

I'd love this ad if they only changed one thing. Instead of the same quote over and over again, they need to play quotes from the Engrish version of the movies.

"Don't touch me, Frodo!"
"Bring your pretty face to my ass!"

That might almost make it worth it - as it is, it's a pain.

Don't like it either. I use a TV Tuner card and the competing sound from the audio popup is jarring. Left the bargains forum to come here and avoid/complain about it.

It's like cancer in the video game forum...

Funny, (not really), but I have never seen the ad until tonight either...

I was unable to stop or mute the sound with the little controls on the ad. Very annoying.

I'm not even seeing the ad. Just hearing the sound. I paged through all the windows I had opened and none of them showed the ad.

It's really really annoying.

Edit: Nevermind, I didn't realize it was the BANNER ad. Never seen a talking one of those on here so I didn't even look.

This hit me last night (computer at work has no speakers), and that is just wrong. Pop-up/unders are one thing, but sound is over the line.
