No West Wing tonight 10/15
According to nbc.com, tonight's episode of The West Wing will not be shown until 10/29. Sadly, they give no reason for the bump.
It will be replaced tonight (I believe) with one of the L&O incarnations.

Oh I think a certain Game 7 of the NLCS has to do with it. Will there be a new L&O at 10?
WW and L&O were significantly down in the ratings last week due to the ALCS.

Yep - I was right. Tonight's L&O is repeat of last year's season finale.
This is good - now I can actually record King of Queens which I have missed out on because of the logjam of shows I have a 9 pm Wednesday.

The decision's disappointing but understandable. What I don't get is why NBC is keeping Ed and L&O but not WW? Are they trying to pitch Ed as counter programming or something?

As I already said, the planned all-new ep of L&O at 10 is now a repeat.
Re: Ed, I assume that program is predominantly viewed by women so it is reasonable for them to keep that on as planned.

Now NBC has reversed again. New WW and L&O episodes (I assume the eps that were supposed to air 2 nights ago) will air next Wednesday 10/22.
Of course, I'm sure the elimination of the Cubs and Red Sox has nothing to do with this change.
