Fox - Thank you for My Bodyguard (1980) in Widescreen

I don't know if this title has been out for a while, but I just found it last weekend. Seeing a title like the 1980 teen film My Bodyguard when casually browsing is just plain fantastic! When I discovered the DVD offered a widescreen version I almost collapsed.

Does anybody else remember this film?

I grabbed this when it first came out on DVD, over a year ago - wonderfull movie with a great cast. Another film that was released theatrically around the same time, and also came out on DVD at the same time, is Breaking Away - another great "small" movie that's you'd probably enjoy.

I noticed it while browsing recently but I did not pick it up. It is a nice movie though. I watched it as a kid many times on HBO back in the early 80's.

have not picked it up yet...but yes, great film! I grew up with this and first saw it on HBO when they used to show the same 2 or 3 films everyday...all day!! watched it every time.

...My Bodyguard and Breaking Away are both fantastic. Throw in the original Bad News Bears and that's a helluva way to spend a weekend.

I also picked this up when it first came out. This would be a nice double feature with Three O'Clock High.
