Duck Dodgers starts 08-23

As a Daffy Duck fan, I'm looking forward to this new series. It's first showing is tomorrow morning at 11:30EST, but you can check the upcoming schedule here. Entertainment Weekly gave it a B+ and I certainly hope it lives up to that grade.

I love the taglines from the posters:

I've been waiting for months for this, and it's finally here. I feel like a kid at Christmas.

Here's a bunch of reviews for it:

Well, it was good but not great. It just seems the old Looney Tunes magic just isn't to be found anywhere anymore. Don't know if that's entirely because of no Mel Blanc or not though.

Tom Jones sings the theme, Paul Dini procuces, and Michael Dorn provides a voice.

I liked it. But I didn't watch expecting to see the same charm as I saw Sat. mornings growing up, so it would have had to been quite bad for me to be disappointed.

Anyways, does anyone know anything about this:

Kevin Smith To Voice Hal Jordan / Green Lantern In DD
(The following is from the ViewAskew.com newsletter.)

"Daffy Duck (also known as Duck Dodgers) is the star of his own upcoming cartoon series from the Cartoon Netwrok. Paul Dini told THE PULSE that everyone's favorite duck superhero
is going to be making a splash in the DCU when he becomes this sector's new Green Lantern ...? See the sparks fly when Duck Dodgers meets Hal Jordan with Kevin Smith doing the voice of GL.

"Daffy accidentally finds himself in posession of a legendary superheroes ring and becomes the new Green Lantern of Earth," said Paul Dini. "Doing a cameo voice over turn is CLERKS
director Kevin Smith as everyone's favorite Green Lantern Hal Jordan.""
Is it true? I love GL, but I really don't want to see him on Duck Dodgers.

There were a few gags that made me laugh out loud, but not very consistent.

Green Lantern? Hmm...
