Buffy/Angel fans - what about "Ripper"?
Stumbled across this in IMDb today:
"Ripper" 2002
Rupert Giles, formerly Buffy Summers' Watcher on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", returns to his native England to fine a course for his life in working with the Councel of Watchers in their quest to protect the word from evil.
When does this series debut? Does anyone know what network is carrying it? Sign me up!!!!

This looked like a real possibility for most of last year. I notice it's getting much less buzz this year, and there's no specific information to be had, beyond the talking/planning stages. No one has said it's a dead project, but I'd be surprised if it still happens... But damn, it's a great idea for the BBC...

Too bad, even though I'm not a huge Buffy fan, it was sort of an interesting idea.

Funny how the whole Whedon world seems to be crashing unto itself this year. Firefly's in serious trouble, Buffy's almost certainly done, the animated series that never was, and in the spring its the yearly WB lottery on whether or not Angel will survive.

I think Whedon will be ok after this. He, Chris Carter and Vagina Boy (David E. Kelly) can go and count their money.
