Hate cut versions of foreign films?
This seemed like the most appropriate forum in which to put this; moderator(s), if you think it belongs somewhere else, please move it.
A lot of you probably hate petitions, and I'll be the first one to admit that they seldom accomplish much, but FYI I just started one asking that the Academy start requiring U.S. distributors of foreign films to present the movies complete and uncut if they want to be eligible for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar. I was thinking of HERO (and the butchered version that Miramax is preparing even now) the whole time, but it should of course be applied universally.

If you could spread the word to anyone who would be interested, that would be mighty spiffy of you.

DVD Talk Gold Edition
As someone living in the U.S., I'd like to see the uncut version of Malena (admittedly, in part due to Monica Belluci = reasons). Monica Belluci aside, it was a good film. As I recall, it was another butcher job by the U.S. distributor Miramax.
