sony NC655P doesn't play dvd-r
Hi,
Anybody else have problems playing dvd-r discs on the this Sony progressive scan player ? All my discs play well on my playstation?
Is there a special setting on the player to watch these discs?

Has the DVD-R disc been finalized? A true DVD-R will not play on most DVD players. It is when the DVD-R is finalized that makes it compatible with most players. Finalizing changes the DVD-R into DVD-Video. DVD-Video is what plays on most players. I have over 100 DVD-R's I have finalized after recording movies and they play on my Samsung, Pioneer, JVC and Panasonic players in all cases.
