Wasn't the select, start only for starting two player game in Contra? That code worked on so many Konami games back in the day.

Those were the days!

It was always a blast with 2-player and using that code. You could go crazy and not care about dying.

That code worked for hte same ones as the code in the topic. Adding 'select' just starts the game with two players instead of one.

if you're talking about the code for Ikari Warriors on the NES, the code is AABBA.

Unfortunately, PS controllers just don't permit this most classic of all cheat codes. x, circle or square, triangle ruin the rhythm.

The only code that I swear I will never forget because I swear to God I was the first one to have it ever but I was too stupid to submit it to a magazine first was the Mike Tyson's Punch Out Code:

007-373-5963!

I figured out the code when some friends of mine were just messing around with the numbers. 007 for James Bond, and 373-5963 for one of their phone numbers. Voila! We were like WTF!?? But none of us thought of ever submitting it to a mag. We found it about a 3 weeks after the game came out. The following year I read in a gaming magazing how some kid had gotten credit for discovering the code to fight the champ, Mike Tyson himself. I was mad.

Don't believe me?? Fine! You dress like Soda Popinski!!
