Recommendations for a Dreamcast game?

I am looking for a game for my dreamcast which I just got, was looking for something that would be similar to Zelda that was made for the N64. A game with a purpose and a large map. SOmething like that. Any suggestions?

I've said it before, I'll say it again------Grandia II. Sweetest RPG I have ever had the pleasure to play.

You're not going to find much that's Zelda-like on the DC. Grandia II is barely similar. The closest I can think is Elemental Gimmick Gear, which is sketchy at best.

Grandia II has a deep story and a large map--if that's what you're looking for, Grandia II is it. Try Sonic Adventure 1, that has a nice story and a pretty good map, not much in the way of Zelda though.

It has a map in the sense that you pick to go to the next region, and each region is extremely linear. I suspect she's looking for a go anywhere exploration type of game. Grandia II ain't it.

Nobody makes games like Nintendo. That's why their system will succeed; they make awesome games that nobody else can touch.

Anyway, on the Dreamcast, how about Phantasy Star Online? I haven't played it, so maybe someone else can confirm, but my understanding is it's an action-based RPG, and it sounds fun to play online.

Just a thought...

There are plenty of other awesome Dreamcast games in other genres; if you need any more help just ask.
