Shipping from DVD Empire - How long does the media mail take?

hello,

i've just read a few of the bits about dvd empire
and now i'm kinda freaked that i won't see it till
i forget about it...

i pre-ordered a dvd...
and they sent me a confirmation email that it shipped
on Aug 3...

i got cheap and used the cheap-o
usps media mail option for delivery...

it's now aug 11th
and nothing...

just wondering how long it takes for a dvd to arrive via
media mail?

media mail

I know that the cheaper you spend on shipping, the longer the wait.
I always get my stuff from amazon expedited shipping (2 dvd's-9.99 us) and it only takes 4-6 days from the states to Canada to get here.
If you don't get anything by Monday, e-mail them.

I've ordered three times since they started the Media Mail Shipping. All three orders placed on Monday mornings shipped by 12:00 noon the same day and arrived on Friday. That's form PA. to MS. So not too bad for cheap shipping. Anyway, like starving dvder, If you haven't received it by Monday I would call 'em.

I've had media mail shipments that have taken over two weeks to go from Memphis to Lubbock (approx. 800 miles).

The USPS's website says it can take up to two weeks to deliver, so I'd give it at least a few more days.

DVD Empire Media Mail

Today will be 2 weeks since my order shipped. Hopefully I will receive. I'm not sure I will use this method in the future.

My local post office told me that media mail generally takes 7 to 10 days to arrive, although in my experience it has usually taken 5 to 7 days. I imagine some P.O. hubs and branches are more efficient than others.

Media Mail is supposed to be 5-10 days. After 10 days I'd get worried.

Sometimes it can actually get there sooner, but don't count on it. Media Mail and Standard Mail (what DDD uses) is very weird. You could send two packages to the same address at the same time and one might arrive in 3 days and the other in 10 days.

I understand that if you supply the full nine digit zip code that may speed up media mail slightly.

Can't prove it either way but it might be worth a try.

If you don't know your 9 digit zip go to :

http://www.usps.com/ncsc/lookups/lookup_zip+4.html

And enter your full normal address and zip. It will come back with the nine digit zip.
