I still have some outstanding credits due to me by reel.com
from before they stopped shipping dvds
I sent them all the information they asked for-they agreed the credits were due.
They then asked for me to fax them my credit card details
-which I did-but no credits arrived !!!
"eg> Thank you for contacting Reel.com!

I am in australia and buy.com won't ship to here....
So what do I do ?
What goverment department in USA do I contact to report this fraud ?
I paid money, they goods couldn't be delivered, and now I am still out of pocket many months later....

There is prob. nothing you can do now. It has been to long. It has been well over a year now right? How long ago did reel close? If anything, you should have started with your credit card company back after reel.com closed.

Yes, but Reel.com kept on promising that they would do the credits......
I suppose I thought I could believe them since they were and are still in business
i.e. their website is still up......
I'll have to talk to my credit card company I suppose....
It's disappointing that both buy.com and reel.com both give me the runaround......... :-(

Your credit card likely won't do anything. If its after 3 months or so, they'll refuse to take any action because you waited too long. I got into a HUGE argument with my CC about this a year ago. All a retailer has to do is keep brushing you off for 3 months (my CC said 2 months, but I've gotten successful disputes up to 3 months before), promising your refund will be coming, etc. After that they can just not refund you and your CC is unable to help you.

Can you arrange to have your stuff shipped to someone in the US, who will turn around and ship the stuff to you? Would cost you an extra amount for shipping, probably, but at least you would get your stuff.
