the rental-only (UNF*CKINGFORTUNATELY!) R2 UK DVD of the masterpiece that is Memento is due out on Monday (April 30th) but i have yet to see any specifications for it, all i know is that it's being released by Fox Pathé.. anyone know what this disc will feature?
also, anyone know how long the UK rental-only window is? how long will we have to wait to get our dirty little paws on our own version of this disc?!

only in the UK and i only think it's one company that does it, and it seems like Memento is one of their releases.. this article on DVD Debate is the only info i know.. no specs, no nothing and it's due out to the rental market on monday... weird.

the article says 3 months of waiting for a retail copy.. the only online store i've found that even had it in their database was blackstar.co.uk and they wanted £71 for it.. regular prices are around £15-20.
oh well..

finally some news!
i saw a thread on the UK DVD Debate site and there they said the Blockbuster barebones DVD rental of the movie is 2.35:1 anamorphic and has DD 5.1 - they also said the picture was "pristine" so that sounds good.
one guy said the last thing he heard about a retail release was OCTOBER but it sounds a little far away considering it's already out on rental. 2-3 months maybe but October? that's like 5 months away.. 5 month rental "window" sounds alot for a title like this (it flopped at the UK boxoffice).
i'm still hoping for june/july.. Christopher Nolan said he was involved with making the DVD so hopefully we'll get audio commentary and stuff like that.
