Full Metal Panic! Novels Inspire New Anime Adaptation

Fujimi Shobo announced at the "Fantasia Bunko Big Thanksgiving 2015" event on Saturday that plans for a new anime adaptation of Shoji Gatoh and Shikidouji's Full Metal Panic! light novel series are underway. The announcement did not give any further details about the anime project.

All depends on which style they choose. The original was kinda schizo, alternating between slapstick and serious. FUMOFU, on the other hand, was pure comedy and absolutely hysterical. I hope it's the latter.

FUMOFFU was terrible.
S1 was alright.
S2 was excellent.

Hope we get more like TSR.

FUMOFFU is the greatest anime comedy in history, I love it. I think duplicating the success of the original series will be almost impossible. It had such a strange, unique tone that the remake almost certainly ends up being some super-serious adaptation with much better animation.
