Help us serve you better! All of us on the Animation team here at VIZ want to get your thoughts on anime in the North American market in order to give you the best of what you want. Your opinions matter deeply to us, so rest assured every response will be read and considered carefully. We know this survey is a little long, but should only take about 10 minutes to complete. Please take your time and be honest we really want to know what you think!

As a bonus, one lucky winner will be selected at random to get this awesome VIZ anime prize pack. Winner will be selected and notified via email on or around April 1, 2013.

So what shows are people telling Viz to license in that question? I went with The Mystic Archives of Dantalian, though I am not sure if it has been licensed already.

I requested Hyouka and Chihayafuru. I don't think anyone's licensed those yet.

The other show I was considering to list was "Another." It's a teen horror series that has a compelling mystery.

Chipboard box seems kind of 2007--I'd much prefer a single-season/series release.

From yesterday.

VIZ Animation Winter 2013 Survey
~ Fun with Physical Reseases ~

Our last survey focused on our 24/7 streaming service Neon Alley, but the world of anime has many different facets. This survey focuses on physical anime releases. You know, the stuff that comes to you on shiny discs of the DVD and Blu-ray variety.

All the responses we have received from anime fans in the past year have made quite an impact and we carefully consider every opinion expressed. You may have even noticed some subtle changes already.

In the spirit of continued improvement and hearing your thoughts, we present the final Animation survey of 2013. It gets a little technical, but please express your honest opinion about how YOU want your anime. There are no right or wrong answers.

Are you ready to talk about anime products of the tangible variety? Let's begin!

As thanks for completing the survey, they're offering 30 Free Days to their streaming service Neon Alley. The coupon code is at the end of the survey. There's no credit card required.

Is that service really worth using if one already subscribes to Crunchyroll and Funimation?

They have a couple shows that aren't on the other two services. And everything is English dubbed. So it probably appeals to some viewers. But it's not for me.

There's only about 2 dozen shows in their catalog. Most of them are Shonen, and I'm not a big fan of that genre. But the biggest drawback is having to watch shows on a schedule. I can't plan my day around the particular showtimes. And even though they offer on-demand streaming for a couple recently aired episodes, I prefer to marathon a series.

If they offered the full catalog with on-demand viewing, I might change my mind. But as it is right now, I have no interest in the service.
