Aniplex of America launches the “Fate/Zero” Blu-ray Disc Box set on March 7th, 2012

SANTA MONICA, CA (December 1, 2011) – Aniplex of America Inc. announced today that the Fate/Zero - Blu-ray Disc Box I will be imported from Japan and released in North America on March 7th, 2012 through anime distributor RightStuf.com. This highly anticipated release—featuring thirteen episodes with unaired, new footage, all subtitled in English over five Blu-ray discs—is the latest example of the company‘s objective to expedite its line-up of wildly popular properties to North America. Fans in North America can take comfort in knowing this BD box set will be released simultaneously with Japan‘s release date, and will mark the first time that
Fate/Zero - Blu-ray Disc Box I is officially made available in North America. In addition, Aniplex of America will include an English translation booklet to accompany the featured Production Material booklet in the North American release.

Funimation put out a revised release schedule today and officially placed the Strike Witches 2 release date as 'To Be Determined' - I was hoping they would be giving us a new date, but it definitely will not be Feb 21st but will mostly likely will be an April or May title now. They also moved the release of Dragonball Z - Level 2.2 - Blu-ray (FN-08933) from 3/27 to 6/19. We'll keep you updated as info comes in!

Heavens Lost Property Forte (S2) Update: Funi just informed us that the Heavens Lost Property Forte Complete Season 2 Boxed Set (Limited Edition) that they recently added to the March schedule has been changed from a BD/DVD combo box to a DVD only box. They have dropped the BLURAY release. MSRP has been lowered from $69.98 to $64.98. Anyone who has already pre-ordered this box and wants to cancel that order or make a change should e-mail our customer service team. Thanks!

From what I was told the licensor in Japan was leary about the dates for an overseas BD release being too soon after the Japanese release, so Funi is moving ahead on a DVD only release rather than delay the title.
