I'm a couple episodes into Season 2 on Hulu and noticed there's no nudity. Watched Season 1 on Netflix and lots of nudity. So is Hulu showing a censored version? Or did they tone down the nudity for Season 2?

Either way, this is a fun series. Netflix has Season 1 dubbed. Hulu Plus has Seasons 1-2 with subtitles. And I think Youtube has both seasons with subs.

Season 2 on Hulu is the censored version, its the simulcast version that was shown on tv in Japan.

By the 4th episode of Season 2 it became obvious it was censored. Didn't really matter to me. But it looked strange after such gratuitous nudity in Season 1.

Is there any word on a 3rd Season? It's been over a year since the 2nd Season aired.

So was the first season not done in HD? Funimation has unconverted a bunch of things to 1080i, I wonder why Sekirei, Darker than Black and others have seasons released only on DVD.

Was the first season of Sekirei ever released in Japan on Blu-ray format? Many Japanese anime shows originally shown in HD on Japanese TV are mostly available in anamorphic format 480p DVD's even in Japan, unless the original "master" video was cleaned up for the HD format.

Hopefully, I'd like to see the first season of Sekirei available on Blu-ray format some time in 2012.

What I heard was all Japans blu-rays are not very good. Funimation and other U.S. studios makes there own blu-rays.

Here is one screenshot comparison from the R2J/BD releases. I would say if you own the series on DVD, it's probably not worth your while to double dip. It may also depend on whether FUNimation uses Japan's masters or do one themselves.

I just got my Sekirei blu-ray, On the back of the case it says "Video - 1080p HD (SD Remaster)" you can see a diffrence if you really look.

Yeah that is true. I mean I think fan service is okay. Sometimes it is excessive(High School of the Dead) but if it has a good story, then I can deal with it. Highschool of the Dead had a good story.

It's a good show, shares a common theme to Zatch Bell, only with a Pokemon like vibe of 'gotta catch em all'. Sadly Sekirei seems to forget about the actual progression of the battle of Sekirei's and instead focuses on day to day living with several Sekirei all bickering over who gets to marry the guy.
