Yup, it was this one:

It's $9.40 at Amazon, so I guess it had a major price drop to begin with.

There were some others but can't remember them right now!

Was this the single disc or the 2 disc version on MI:3?

How about ST Nemesis -- do you know if it is the single or two-disc edition?

Edit: Nevermind. They only had the single-disc one at mine.

Just got back and picked up:

Timeline (WS)
WTC (CE)
Perfume

Also, there were quite a few FS ones in there, so be careful. This includes Star Trek: Nemesis...

2 others I noticed:
Abandon (FS) and Against the Ropes (WS)

They also do not have any at 3 Wal-Marts in my area. In fact the employee I spoke with was amazed that there were DVDs for less than their $5 bin. When she called another store, they told her about the $1 DVDs and she was equally amazed. She could hardly wait to get off the phone to tell me of that great deal. Yeah. Those are the really old movies and cartoons that should be less than $1. Maybe this deal has not mad it to this side of the country yet. Great post. Hopefully, I can score a WTC.

As much as I hate going shopping on the weekends, seeing WTC and Elizabethtown listed in this deal meant it was worth driving a mile. This is a complete list of the $3.98 DVDs my Walmart had in no particular order (all in Widescreen unless otherwise noted):

Barefoot in the Park
Marci X
Crazy People
A Smile Like Yours
Paycheck
Homeland Security
Dreamer
Match Point
MI 2 (2 DVD edition)
MI 3 (1 DVD edition)
Failure to Launch
Nacho Libre
Yours Mine & Ours (Quaid)
Against the Ropes
The Hunted
The Last Kiss
She's the Man
The Chumscrubber
Dear God
The Hours
Whispers in the Dark
The Next Best Thing
Gung Ho
The Bad News Bears in Breaking Training
The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio
World Trade Center (3 Disc Deluxe/Commemorative Edition)
The Molly Maguires
The Gambler
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
The Wood
Extreme Ops
Flight of the Intruder
North Dallas Forty
The Tin Star
Atlantic City
The Wool Cap
Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles
Heller in Pink Tights
Last Holiday
Bad News Bears (Thornton)
Elizabethtown
Dickie Roberts Former Child Star
Coach Carter (FS only)
Stepford Wives (Kidman) (FS only)
Catch Me If You Can
Alfie (Jude Law) (FS only)
Star Trek Nemesis (old edition) (FS only)
Abandon (FS only)
The Winning Season (FS only)
The Manchurian Candidate (Washington) (FS only)
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (FS only)
Tomb Raider Cradle of Life
Get Rich or Die Trying
Timeline
The Dead One
Jackass the Movie (FS only)
Tupac: Resurrection (FS only)

As always, I avoid the FS titles like the plague. A lot of these I've never seen, so I'll have to read the reviews. If someone wants to help save me time reading reviews, please post if any of the above R rated movies have more than a couple dozen F words and more than a tiny bit of sex or nudity. I'm trying to get movies that I can watch with my family without feeling embarrassed.

It appeared at mine on Saturday, so it's probably coming soon to most locations. It was one of those cardboard displays and was located in front of the DVD section at mine.

Hmm, I'd be willing to pick up Match Point (and maybe Chumbscrubber; I've heard good things about it).

UPDATE: I got back from the Wal*Mart in Paducah (across from the KY Oaks Mall) and I didn't even see a bin set up.

I'll try checking the other Wal*Mart in Paducah (on the Southside) and/or the one in Benton.

UPDATE v2.0: It's not set up at the Southside Paducah Wal*Mart. The only other one is in Benton, which I'll try to check out the next time I'm with my girlfriend and we go out there. Like I said, I'd certainly pick up Match Point (and the 3-disc WTC if they had it) and more than likely The Chumscrubber as well.

UPDATE vTRES: Success at Benton, KY! The stand was set up over by the registers. I picked up Match Point & The Chumscrubber. They had the 2-disc WTC, but no 3 disc. I already have the 2-disc (I wanted to see if I could upgrade for $3.98), so I didn't pick it up.

YET ANOTHER GODDAMN UPDATE: The Wal*Mart in front of the KY Oaks Mall in Paducah, KY finally has a bin set up. I went through it, and saw plenty of the 2-disc WTC, but none of the 3-disc. This one also had The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio, which I didn't see at the Benton store. I'll check the Southside Paducah one again to see if they have a bin set up, with any 3-Disc WTC.

ONE MORE UPDATE: The Wal*Mart in front of the KY Oaks Mall in Paducah took down their fixture. I haven't checked the Benton store yet.
