Naw, it's a big improvement but the crash was going to happen any way you look at it.
Unfortunately, there would have been massive cart limitations back in '82 which is why we got the flicker fest we did. The 4K and 8K releases are a big improvement over that monstrosity.

The official release from 1982 was also 4K. The whole reason the guy did the 4K homebrew was to show what was possible with just 4K.
The guy who did the 8K version is letting people download it for free. This is the most recent version that I could find:
