Just got back from seeing it. It was a hell of a lot of fun. Loved the character reversals. Johnson was hilarious playing DeVito and same with Hart imitating Glover. I should have seen this on Friday night instead of that shitty Black Christmas.

And Karen Gillan is just fucking awesome. and gorgeous. There was more laughs in this one than the first movie. I do think the trailers gave away a few of the funnier moments, but it's hard to not use those as selling points.

and yea it was for all intents and purposes closed ended (the ending) until the end credit scene which sets up a potential 3rd movie. I liked the cameo too, but unless you're a TV watcher and are familiar with the relationship between the director and that person, it's probably meaningless to you.

Does that mean there is potential that:
Spoiler:

The Johnson, Hart, Black and Gillan avatars will actually come out of the game into real life?

Not sure what you’re referring to but anybody who saw the original movie should know who that character is.

Spoiler:

Lamorne Morris, the repairman. He and Kasdan worked together on New Girl. Unless I'm totally missing something.

Yea you’re missing a big something.
Spoiler:
Bebe Neuwirth who plays Nora is the aunt from the original Jumanji.

Ok, it's been a long time since I saw the 1st movie. So that flew by me. I got the wrong cameo....

I thought the film was okay. Fun, but just more of the same. The best part was seeing Danny DeVito again showing up the "youngsters" - he's the best actor in the movie by a mile.

I though Awkwafina channeling Louie DePalma was an absolute hoot. She killed it. Even the wife thought that was the highlight of the movie...

I enjoyed it, Not as good as Welcome to the Jungle but it was still entertaining. Felt like it leaned more towards comedy than action which was a bit of a disappointment. Not much to say other than if you liked the first one you will like this one too, but probably not as much 3/5.

She's had a pretty solid last couple of years.

Just watched this. Nothing amazing but pretty fun and I never checked my watch. Almost too many characters but they still made it work. Pretty funny in parts.

A lot more Karen Gillan and a lot less Dwayne Johnson in this than I would have expected

That's an odd take. I think Dwayne Johnson is in pretty much the whole movie (besides the kids part). Certainly as much as Gillian, right?
