I haven't played shit. I finished Rayman Origins back in late Jan., then went through a GoW3 Horde phase for a month. I haven't really played anything since.

Tried to start Crackdown 2, but the game is a pile of shit so that's never getting finished.

With Mass Effect 3 done, I imagine i'll be on cruise control playing random small games until Diablo comes out.

Re: Definitive 2012 Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread

Jan - Batman AA - 2nd playthrough

Feb - Bioshock - 3rd playthrough
AC 2 - took me forever to beat the missions to get Altair's armor.
Crysis - game looks great on Xbox! Very cool game.

March - no completions, sunk a ton of time into Valkyria Chronicles. At least a dozen hours to beat mission 17. Very hard, but fun! So close to beating this freaking game. Also started ME 3.

April - Deep into Binary Domain and ME 3.

Just wrapped up Snake Eater 3D. Still one of my favorites of all-time.

Re: Definitive 2012 Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread

Finished Bioshock for the first time. I just never got into it when it came out, but I decided to try it again and it took over my life for the last several days. I can't remember ever feeling that immersed in a game. To me, it could be released today instead of five years ago and it wouldn't seem the slightest bit dated. Unbelievable game overall. Still, I think I'll wait a bit before going on to the sequel. My brain needs something different.

Finished one of the games in my unplayed pile of shame, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Good solid game. I beat Uncharted: Drake's Fortune earlier this year so now I can finally get to the current game in the franchise.

Re: Definitive 2012 Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread

Knocked out Bulletstorm last week. Total blast.

Dropped in El Shaddai a couple nights ago. It's been going great. Love the art style, love the music, love the story and the action is decent. However I just got to Chapter 8 and I'm done. Holy frustrating hell. Isometric view + fixed camera + a bottomless void + platforming = You can't see where you're jumping to (void below = no shadow) leads to falling into said void about 50 times. Dying 50 times in 45 minutes... either I really suck or no one play tested that level.

I think Darkness II will be next. I need to bang out a few more before Halo, Borderlands & CoD hit, so no more wasting my time on El Shaddai's bullshit level design.

Re: Definitive 2012 Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread

Finished up Lego Harry Potter II and 1000/1000'ed it. No glitches, thank goodness. Part of the credit easily goes to my wife as well, she always waits for me to finish the levels and then goes back and gets a ton of the characters. Then I usually swoop in and finish the scraps and remaining odd ball achievements, works pretty well for these Lego games. However, I don't think I'll be able to get her to help with Lego POTC or Star Wars III. We'll see

Re: Definitive 2012 Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread

I haven't made much progress since April. I did beat Binary Domain. Thoroughly enjoyed the game except for the asine save checkpoints.

I made it to the final boss in Syndicate, and after 50+ tries, I threw in the towel. I loathe that game. One of the hardest boss battles ever. Since it was a rental, I sent it back.

I got about 20 hours invested in Kingdom of Amular. Fun game, but the story isn't grabbing me. Still working through ME 3.

Looks like only 3 or 4 of us followed this through the entire year, but here's a bump for anyone still interested.

How'd everyone do this year?

Yeah, not much progress on the pile once Borderlands hit. Borderlands, Borderlands, Borderlands. Then some Halo 4 and Mario WiiU.

Re: Definitive 2012 Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread

I was trying to not buy new games until I'd got the pile of shame down to a handful of titles, but then black friday & holiday sales hit and the pile exploded back up to being ridiculous. On the bright side, I have enough good games to keep me busy through at least the next six to nine months and will probably only end up buying Dead Space 3 and Bioshock Infinite between now and whenever the next Xbox launches.

God of War II
