I'm worried that we won't see any X-Men and will be mostly heroes from Marvel Cinematic Universe. Will Spider-Man show up too? I guess we have to wait and see...

Re: Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (Release Date: 2017)

Not digging the polygonal looking art style. Makes it look too sterile and bland, like a Mortal Kombat game. These are comic book characters, they need to look like they jumped out of comic books!

I wish they would've gone with a more cel-shaded look, kinda like the recent Guilty Gear, which looks hand-drawn and animated, but they're just polygonal models with some really nice cel-shading, making them look like highly-detailed sprites.

Speaking of which, that game is only $13.14 at Amazon. Such a good deal on a great fighter. Too bad I already bought it for more than double that in the PSN Store

I'd be really surprised if we don't see Spider-Man. But yeah, no X-Men would just be weird.

The Deluxe Edition interests me even though I barely touched SF5. I might cave.

Same here. I also don't like the yearly season pass bullshit. For the time being, I'll stick with this.

Ditto. Fighting games anymore have trained me to just wait for the 'game of the year' reissue with all the DLC.

Isn't this because the new game is coming out this month?

I don't have a problem with the season pass if it means they'll support the game for years instead of having a super or whatever full game upgrade that deprecates the old game. Though I look at something like Injustice 2 and he microtransaction trend is just getting absurd.

It's basically all current MCU characters. I think i'd pass on this just because I hate that they're ignoring the existence of the X-Men.

A Marvel vs. Capcom game without Wolverine just seems wrong.

Just to throw this out there. UMvC3 is on sale this week for $15 on PSN for PS4.

That's on Marvel, unfortunately, not Capcom. It's the same reason why there's no one from the Fantastic Four...or even villains often associated with the FF, like Dr. Doom.

That's an awful list. Just caw it Avengers instead of Marvel.

Yeah, I'm gonna hold out for a "final" version with all characters/DLC included as well.

Re: Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (Release Date: 2017)

They just released a PC port onto PS4 (Marvel Heroes Omega) with the FF excised but the XMen included (though honestly if they got rid of all the XMen that would have been a huge chunk of the roster). And the mobile game Marvel Future Fight is finally going to get XMen characters this month after not having any since launch. It gives me some hope that we'll get mutants down the line.

Re: Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (Release Date: 2017)

It seems that the Collector's Edition is just a big ripoff. Instead of getting "Infinity Gems", people are getting Infinity Easter Eggs

Re: Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (Release Date: 2017)

God, this is an ugly fucking game. Couldn't they get actual good comic book artists to do the design. This looks worse than MvC3, and that was last gen, and of course the hand-drawn art in MvC2 blows all of them away. What a sad step down - and that's not even mentioning the pathetic roster of characters. Capcom really shit the bed on this release.

Reviews are decent, but the ones I read all complained about how ugly it was.

Re: Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (Release Date: 2017)

The graphics look fine to me. Just that looks like only a hand full of characters are strong and the rest kinda suck. All you see online are Dante, Thanos, Ultron, Darmammu, Thor... probably in that order.

Maybe my eyes aren't what they used to be, but the sprites in MvC 2 stopped impressing a month into playing the game. MvCi is NOT a pretty game, but to say that the recycled sprites are still impressive today....yeah not seeing it.

Re: Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (Release Date: 2017)

So I picked the Deluxe Edition for PS4 of this which supposedly includes the season pass, but this pass only unlocked 6 characters and not the costume packs available as DLCs. Does anyone know why this is?
