For those interested in this game, you're in luck, there's an open beta from November 18-21 on consoles and PC.

In case anyone wants to check this game out on the cheap, Target has it on sale for $29.99 this week. And if you can find a store that still carries the Gold Edition, it's the same price.

Is anyone actually playing this? I've watched some videos on Live and it looks... boring.

I bailed on it after a two play sessions in December. It's not fun. And it's realistic. Anybody who snowboards can tell you how easy it is to wipeout...and they put all of that into the game.

So... would you say that this game has a steep learning curve and difficulty?

Yeah, I've played it a few times since it's backwards compatible on XB1 now. Guess I'll stick with that for now. EA needs to get their shit together and make a real sequel to SSX Tricky.

I checked this out from our library and played for a bit last night. It looks gorgeous, but that's about it . The events were pretty mediocre and it was a little frustrating wiping out when trying to do some tricks and having to starting over (at least that process is really quick).
Anyways, I thought I would bump this because you can play the game for free this weekend, which is really all you should need.

I downloaded the free weekend and am really having fun with it. Will probably buy it while it's on sale.

I dug it but wouldn't buy it - No that it wasn't great or anything because it was...it just doesn't seem like I would be into after a while. The wing suit jumps were outstanding.

So this is kind of interesting : Instead of coming out with a Winter Olympics game, Ubisoft is making a Steep : Road to the Winter Olympics Edition as well as an Expansion to Steep, both coming out 12/5/17.

Looks kind of fun with Half-Pipe, Downhill races and Big Air events along with a new Japan Free-Roam area (not, curiously enough, a PyeongChang location in addition to the Korean location for Olympic events). Could be fun - I do enjoy that game and the second expansion which added the awesome jetpacks. Still, this expansion is priced at $29.99 which is, for lack of a better term, kinda Steep. I hope it has a ton of content.
