I already have AW:AN, is the only way to get a digital copy of the original Alan Wake with a physical copy of QB?

^ You get the original Alan Wake and AW:AN with the digital pre-order of QB. Not sure if both come with the physical pre-order.
Or you can pay $20 on Xbox Marketplace just for AW.

Well, I have the disc of AW already so I'm just looking for a free upgrade. I didn't see AW listed on the Xbox Marketplace as a bonus with QB, just AW:AN.

^ yeah, it's badly worded on store.xbox.com
So yeah... it includes both AW and AW:AN along with the AW add-ons. But it looks like AW won't show up in your message center until after QB is released, whereas AW:AN should show up 7-10 days after you pre-order.
"Game Description: Pre-order Quantum Break and receive Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, the Xbox 360 game playable on Xbox One. The code for this item will be delivered to your Xbox message center in 7-10 days. You can redeem the code on your Xbox One console or at xbox.com/redeemcode.

that's BS on MS.
i wanted to play the original because i jumped into AN and it's tough and i think a lot has to do with not playing the original and learning the mechanics. this one just throws you into the bizarre world...

Wait, this game is only 720P on the Xbox One? Yeah, I guess if I get it, it'll be on the PC.

Visually reminds me of Infamous:Second Son, hopefully it'll have that games highs without the lows.

I think the limitations of Windows Store games (I forget what they are calling this) are a bit blown out of proportion. I guess the biggest one is not being able to disable VSync, but I don't care about that as I always play with VSync since tearing makes it unplayable for me. It's also very much still work in progress and I'm sure we'll be seeing improvements as time passes.

No FreeSync for you? As a new GSync monitor owner, it would be a big deal to me with PC games going forward.

I pre-ordered on Xbox One, so I'll give the PC version a go (which is included in the pre-order) after I get my gaming PC up and running. The Windows Store issues will get worked out over time, right?
The game looks great, but I'm still not sure about the live-action stuff.
