Sorry I didn't clarify completely but what Music said...it's ridiculous, but then that's why I keep the 360 hooked up still. (Xbox One downstairs, 360 upstairs). I bought one today for all of the Star Wars Pinball FX stuff on sale today, and have to wait until tonight to use it so I can get them on both consoles. I know, it's a minor inconvenience, but just a pain sometimes.

Complaining about not being able to use gift cards on the current-gen console for backward-compatible content sounds like a first-world problem.

Actually I was going to do a hash-tag for just that...but then stopped because I thought it was silly to point out my own shortcomings, lol.

Thanks. I moved my 360 to the bedroom when I got my XB1. I guess I will have to keep the 360 around instead of trading it in or giving it away. The only reason I have kept it this long is for one game, NCAA Football 14. You would think a huge company like Microsoft could do something about this.

My understanding is that it has something to do with the switch from "points" to "real money" purchases; this is when the website stopped being able to use gift balances for 360 purchases. I think behind the scenes there's some grafting of the two separate systems, and the gift balances are an additional complication. They probably figured it wasn't worth the extra effort, as they were moving on to the XB1.

For the XB1, they never really anticipated people wanting to buy 360 content on it since it was initially completely incompatible. It wasn't until they launched Backwards Compatibility that they added the ability, and it functions the same way as the website.

They should probably revisit this issue, as the amount of 360 content on XB1 keeps growing, so it doesn't look like their going to retire 360 digital content any time soon.

Ha, incidentally that's one of the reasons I have my 360 still plugged in as well. Bought it when it was only $5 or something digitally. Too bad it will probably never be BC'ed.

Basically, what Jay said, that's what I've heard as well. My guess is that they probably won't fix it unless complaining got to BO2 BC level. It's probably a lot more difficult than the cost benefit kinda thing.

I also only have the 360 still connected to buy the occasional BC game with credit.

I still use my 360 to get the free games each month. I can't figure out any other way to do it without having a credit card on file.

I have a card on file that I closed back in Jan. I thought about removing it, but it seems to work as a placeholder for their requirements.

You will eventually have to replace it. Mine just got flagged for expired expiration date and I had to change it.

Speaking of NCAA football. Thanks a lot to that whiney football qb from Nebraska that didn't amount to a pile of shit. He cost us from being able to play the best football game on consoles. Only fb game I bought year after year. Couldn't cut it as a qb so sued EA. What's that saying..."one guy ruins it for the rest of us?"

I thought it was Obannon that sued. It makes sense though, the only reason I liked NCAA was that they used the actual college rosters, and then people actually built them with the proper names.

Really? They were using the likenesses of thousands of players for free. That is bullshit

Speaking of that, why isn't there a black version of the One S? Does this mean there are only going to be white Scorpios? Why MS Why???

Worth mentioning in this thread...
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/13071727-post620.html

If you don't already have Alan Wake, and you want it, buy it this weekend. It's being de-listed on the 15th. Maybe it'll end up in the sale fumanstan posted above. Hope so.

The sale above starts 5/16, so a day after Alan Wake will be de-listed.

I have it on disc, but I should go ahead and redeem my digital code inside my copy of Quantum Break...that way I just have it in both places. The DLC has been free for a while for those who don't know.

BRING IT! I hope it includes some lesser knowns, but with 275+...it almost has to include them (since there are only 378 games at this time that are BC).

That reminds me that people can probably buy a game code for the 360 version fairly cheap. Ebay has some listings for $6, Amazon has a marketplace listing for $8.
