So you canceled the $400 bundle and ordered the $500 bundle? I hope you can get a $100 for that empty steelbook

I also want to bet that the Forza bundle is going to be harder to find in the long run. It's cheaper and they are going to over-produce the shit out of that Halo bundle.

I'm super surprised we didn't see a Tomb Raider designed system. They did a controller last time for the 360.

Actually...that's the one I have on Preorder (Forza)....because it is blue and the controller looks pretty awesome. But with that said, I'll probably trade away Forza (I assume its a digital code) for either Witcher 3 or some Xbox currency (accepting all reasonable offers lol). I just want the console, wish I liked racing games that weren't named Burnout, but I just don't. But yeah, from a game standpoint, NONE of the bundles coming out got me interested, so I went with look.

Finally checked out Windows 10 streaming today. Everything worked great! Of course, I was only playing the new Mega Man collection on the "Very High" setting, so I can't say if a modern game would be noticeably "blocky". I will say that I didn't notice any delay with my controller inputs to the game's reaction across my home's wifi.

Part of it is that the Forza bundle is just a few weeks away, and I really don't have time for a new console right now - two months for the Halo one is much better timing for me.

343 was saying they were going to allow people to trade in the digital copy for a physical disc if you really want something to go in that empty case.

MICROSOFT LIMITING ACCESS TO XBOX ONE PREVIEW PROGRAM

Microsoft has announced it's to start limiting how many people can join the Xbox One Preview program in the future.

A post on the company's forums reveals a surge in the number of applications means it's not able to handle a tremendous number of new participants.

“Due to a tremendous response from our fans, the Xbox Preview program has reached a near-capacity level,” it reads. "With that in mind, we are slowing the number of new people we are accepting to optimize for testing. We are thankful for the amount of interest we’ve received to date and look forward to sharing more details on preview opportunities soon.”

Good. Less whining and bitching from people who think "preview program" means "I get stuff early" and nothing else.

Sort of wish I had the 1TB model that's coming out. My console is going to be full in no time and I'll probably have to look into an external drive at some point.

BFD. You buy a cheap 1 TB external HDD, plug it into the back of your console and never think about it again. Easy-peasy

Yeah, the One is much better than the PS4 in that regard.

Yeah I plan on it at some point. The only downside to that is having it be external and something else taking up space. Not a huge deal but it'd be nice to have it built into the console itself.

re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

Ugh. Now the Blu-ray player is on the fritz. I've tried multiple discs, power cycling, and even uninstalling/reinstalling the app, and it's the same every time. Audio plays in the background, but the only image on-screen is the Blu-ray player logo with a white spinner endlessly whirring beneath it. Clearing persistent storage and disabling BD-Live didn't help.

I'm tempted to just revert to factory default settings and trying all over.

Edit! I actually did do a factory reset, and the Blu-ray player is working like a champ. Maybe it'll fix the achievements issues too...? Reinstalling stuff to find out for sure right now.

Edit #2! It did fix my achievement issue! I'm totally good to go now.

I bought one of these. Highly recommended if you don't want your HDD on top or behind your console.

Just logged on this morning and apparently they are offering PGA Tour for free for the entire week. Downloading it now, time to play the heck out of it.

Are you sure it's not a trial of the game?

From:
http://segmentnext.com/2015/08/25/xb...tour-for-free/
Xbox One users are reporting that an advertisement has appeared on the dashboard offering a free trial of the game for Gold subscribers. While it lets some people have it, others who have tried the game already on EA Access appear to not have the opportunity. This appears to be because it is the same trial game which offers 10 hours of gameplay to gamers.

XBox One Elite bundle, with the elite controller and a 1TB hybrid drive. $499

And a Lunar White controller.

I could do without the gold D-Pad though.

So not as cool looking as the Halo console, doesn't include Halo5, but has the fancy new controller (which honestly, I don't see how a lack of a digital pad is good) for the same price.

What do you mean lack of a digital pad? It also has a faster hard drive

I'm usually not a fan of gold, but I think that controller looks great. I might have to pick that up.

Still downloading so don't know, but 10 hours is better than none in my book. Even if it was not, would realistically only get probably that much time to play it this week.

I already had an Elite controller on pre-order... so I might just say "screw it" and buy the Elite bundle. That lunar white controller is slick as hell too.

Seeing how the controller alone retails for $150, I would say the console with the 1 TB SSHD is a pretty damn good deal for $350. I would give up a $60 game in exchange for that.

*SSHD not SSD.

An important distinction.

That white controller is pretty sexy, but almost ruined by the rainbow dots.

Kind of a shame they just didn't do a single 'ultimate' bundle with the Halo console, SSHD, game and controller.
