re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I know that it was stated before that the DS4 compared to the DS3 are not as durable and I'm noticing that first hand. The R2 trigger for one of the controller is sticking while the X and O buttons are not as responsive. I thought I made a stupid purchase in buying the extended warranty from Best Buy but controllers are part of the warranty. They informed me that they will exchange them no questions asked.

The only thing is that it has to be the black one since it only pertains to the one controller from the PS4 system bundle.

That looks like a simmy ass sim.

Just a heads up, the Seagate 2TB External Hard Drive (silver - STDR2000101) dropped down to $89.99 on Amazon. I think this is the one people were swapping out and you could still use the external case for the 500GB HD that came with the PS4.

Thanks, but mine arrived today and it seems fine. So I opened it up to replace the sticks and it also broke!

Not really, I just threw the grip-its on. I'll take the broken controller to that repair place if I ever get the time.

Or just box up the broken controller and send it back to Amazon

I kid, I kid, but you would be surprised how many people would do that. Which is why I'm always cautious on what I buy through Warehouse Deals. About a year ago I ordered a pair of speakers from Warehouse Deals, and was shocked to find that someone swapped them out with about 30 pounds of speaker wire in the box. That was an interesting phone call to explain to someone that barely spoke English

I could swap back on the old DS4 sticks and return it as broken, but that would be an awful thing to do to save $45.

I almost want to tell you to mail it to me so I can look it over, because I'm damn curious what you did.

I'd mail it back for the cost of postage if it's fixable.

Hmmm. PS4 froze. Couldn't shut it down manually so I unplugged it. Not turning back on now. In case it has overheated, will leave it unplugged for a few hours and try my luck later.

Don't know if anyone here has DL Second Chance Heroes yet...I saw this was showing up as co-op on both online and couch but we have yet been able to get it working couch co-op. The offical site is not updated with the PS4 and only with PC and phone play in mind. Single player is not bad but we got it with two-player co-op in mind.

The Sony site says 1 player only offline, and 2-4 online:

Thanks...this game has actually surprised me a bit and is pretty fun. Kind of a tongue-in-cheek zombie game with historical figures taking down zombies...like Lincoln with a chainsaw, Queen Elizabeth with a chain gun, Blackbeard with a sword, Julius Caesar with throwing knives, Napoleon riding a cannon, etc....and it actually looks good. Shame not couch co-op though. I like it better than Zombie Apocalypse.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I just had my first somewhat major and strange problem with the PS4. So, I bought Skylanders Trap Team (don't say a word about it) and went to install it in the PS4. It came back with some error saying that the PS4 needed to be updated. The disc icon came up and spun for a few seconds and then the disc starting spinning loudly like it was installing the data and it was but yet it wasn't indicating the installation on the UI as it normally does with the game icon and the progress bar underneath it. So, the system sat and spun for some time while I scratched my head asking myself what the hell was going on. I thought maybe I had a bad disc so I took it and put it in our other PS4 and it installed like all other games while displaying the icon and the progress. So I went back to my original PS4 and discovered that the game was installed somewhere in my system despite it giving me no notion it was. I figured out that it was by noticing a downloaded patch in the download section and by clicking that patch I was able to load up the game. However, I am a bit pissed that I can't select the game from the UI and the worst of all is that the game data does not show up in the system storage management meaning I can't even delete those 19gbs unless I want to restore my entire system and format my hdd. Has anyone else had a game do this or your system hide a game file?
