Technically, this is possible, but highly unlikely. It sounds like the COD fix on PS4 really is just a single setting change, but the situation on a per-game basis could result in some games requiring a full-reinstallation that wouldn't or couldn't be on the retail discs. I'd love if every game got a six-month optimization patch (just one time, not every six months), but I can see the core gaming community (not to mention casual gamers who just want to headshot their dude bros) throwing a fit if the patch is anything over 5gb.

It's like a PC. You don't get a 1080p game or 720p game. You go to settings and select the resolution that works better for you. And the eye candy of course.

They need a patch to do this in a console.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts (November 2013)

I'm getting better. Got my overall TDM KDR up to 1.84 and I'm at 2.57 so far for the week.

In S&R I've already got about 20% of my total BO2 S&D bomb plants already and I always seem to be top two in both kills and rescues.

I decided to pick this up on the PS4 since I cancelled my xbox one pre-order. The stick placement on the controller is going to take some getting used to. The first few games I played felt very awkward.

Understandable. I always feel like a drunkard when trying to play on the 360.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts (November 2013)

Late to the party, but I didn't want to enter the thread until I completed the campaign (which I played on a PS4). Thought it was pretty good...not the best of the series, but enjoyable enough with a lot of variety. I never saw the framerate jitters reported by some reviewers, not even when the shit hit the fan.

The real gem of this iteration is Extinction mode. I like this so much better than zombies, and am having a lot of fun with it.

I caved and wound up going to target and picking one up.

I'll probably get Ghosts for the One as well since I like the controls so much better.

I am going to echo what you said but go so far as to say that the single player campaign is the best I have played in the series. Not that the call of duty campaigns have ever been best in class, but I found Ghost, especially the later missions to be a lot of fun...

Extinction is fantastic.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts (November 2013)

I'm liking the improved graphics in the Xbox One, multiplayer, since that's the only one that I played in the Xbox 360.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts (November 2013)

I rented the 360 version from the library and ran through the campaign. I always seem to enjoy the Infinity Ward campaigns more than the Treyarch ones, don't really know why though. The "surprise" ending was also fun and something a little different. No interest in multiplayer, so this was a perfect rental for me.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts (November 2013)

Extinction's good, but unlike zombie mode, there's not a lot of reasons to go back to it and keep replaying it like you can with zombie mode.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts (November 2013)

Good game. Campaign is decent, though buggy. I had to shoot, though not kill, one of my guys in order to move the campaign along. I wandered around for a good 15 minutes thinking I was an idiot and couldn't open a door right. I shot one of my own men in frustration, and the campaign picked up again.

Same here. Finally got to playing last night. It looks cleaner bright and overall 100% better than the 360. Happy with my purchase

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts (November 2013)

I like that you can play either the 360 or X1 version, MP, since everything is consoloditaded in the cloud.

I played some matches in the 360 without issues. It seems they enabled servers there too.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts (November 2013)

I've played a few rounds on the XO. Far better gameplay than that on the 360. Even was able to test out the Game DVR to capture a game winning kill.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts (November 2013)

Crazy shit. My nephew and I tried the PS4 version first and we could not see any difference we were disappointed. After the ONE version installed we tried it and saw/felt the difference as soon as the map loaded... Loving the XBOX ONE version.... Looks more detailed, seems to play faster...

seemed like instead of playing the PS4 [$10 upgrade] we were actually playing the PS3 [using disc as key] version instead [on the PS4]

Anyone else lagging a bit on the X1? Also, how do you mute on MP?

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts (November 2013)

No lag so far. I think there's a mute all option in the options screen, but I'm not home to check.

I've had no issues with lag. Battlefield 4 on the other hand...
