The particularity of this new CoD it’s that it’s being developed only for PC, Playstation 4 and Next XBox/Durango. The game it is said to be a branch of the Modern Warfare series and it will be set in the future. It’s not going to be Modern Warfare 4.

We would see many improvements and changes in the game and its mechanics. Dynamic loading screen, new prone mechanics, such as rolling, corner-peeking, and the ability to “dash into sliding while shooting.”

The game would also be prototyping destructible environments.

Driftor wrotes, “Typically I would not post videos like this but I completely trust this source. This video contains info about the story, and some multiplayer inclusions.”

For those who remember, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 information started to get leaked last February with the official reveal occurring on May 1st, 2012 during the NBA Playoffs (similar to past few Call of Duty reveals).

The CoD franchise has gotten lazier and worse each game since MW2.

This is how it has been for me: MW2 > BlOps > BlOps II > MW3.

I'd rank it: MW2 > MW3 > BO2 > BO. I always thought the Treyarch games were worse than the Infinity Ward based ones. However, I did like the "Pick 10" system implemented in BO2 and would like to see something similar in the next title.

This. I wonder what wonderful toys and perks they'll give to campers this time around? An invisibility cloak and unlimited ammo with a small handgun that kills in one hit?

Completely agree - I'll never forget how dissapointed I was with MW2 and it's been all downhill since.

I cannot believe they're going to forgo millions upon millions in sales the 360 & PS3 would generate.

I'm not. Why?
  1. Call of Duty 2 was exclusive to the 360 when the console launched. I also get that Call of Duty 3 was released on not only the 360 and PS3, but their predecessors as well.
  2. If the rumor is true, Microsoft and Sony paid Activision off to keep it exclusive to the eighth-generation.
  3. The Call of Duty franchise is currently the biggest in the video game industry. It could be the title that forces people to jump to newer hardware rather than having them wait for a more established catalog to come out.
I would also not be surprised if they don't even bother with a WiiU version based upon the piss poor sales of Black Ops II.

Black Ops is the best of the post COD4 era. Real talk.

And the franchise was a fraction of a fraction of what it is now. They could take that gamble.

Agree. Besides we won't see the "great" console-exclusive titles (like Halo 5) until 2014 at the earliest. This could be a way for Microsoft and Sony to get people on board with the new hardware at launch rather than waiting.

Exactly. Saying CoD2 was some sort of huge risk by making it exclusive to Xbox360 last year is laughable, because it never sold nearly what the more recent CoD titles have. I just checked. It sold 1.83 million copies globally. That's not much of a "risk" back then as it would be now, considering how many copies the new CoD titles sell now.

Additionally, thinking that Microsoft and Sony are going to pay to keep this to the next gen consoles is also ridiculous. Black Ops 2 has sold more than 20 million copies. That's more $1.2 billion in revenue. You mean to tell me Sony and/or Microsoft are going to pony up some some of money (theoretically up to half of that $1.2 billion) for exclusivity? Yeah, right. Keep dreaming.

I've said before that this is #1 on my want list for the next gen CoD. Unfortunately at this time there is nothing driving me to spend for a launch PS4 (the Blu-ray drive of the PS3 sold me in 2006), so I'll probably just skip this year's game

Destructible environments? So someone can knock some scaffolding over and kill me?

Actually, I really don't care about CoD anymore. I haven't even played Black Ops II, and that was the first title I skipped since CoD 3. I might buy it when it's $10 just for the single player, but I heard that wasn't that great anyway.

Well I was thinking more on the lines of blowing holes in walls to create new paths on maps. That way each round is a different experience, but yeah, it could lead to some funny moments in gameplay (or annoying, depending on how it works, lol).

Wow, that's low. I think the latest CoD would be considered a failure if it didn't sell that many on day one.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts (November 2013)

Black Ops 2 multiplayer is ridiculous to me.
Plagued by lag, aim-resist, shooting an enemy first but them killing you and such. I'm not spending any money until it's been confirmed that the next game is back to normal.

If blowing holes in walls was possible, can you imagine what you can do to campers?

"I'll hide up here, nobody can sneak up on me if I sit by this wall."

BOOM!

"Oh shit, there goes my kill streak."

Well there goes the next-gen only rumor. Pictures of 360/PS3 mentions in retail ads.

I don't know... they haven't even finished the game yet they're focused on box art? I don't think so... if this game is anywhere near an actual next-gen console launch, it'll be on that system too (if not exclusively).

But Matthew Chmiel told me it was next gen only. I feel so robbed.
