Oh, Best Buy gave me a black Day One t-shirt and a $10 card for the Xbox Store. Also, the Day One 12-Month Live thing was only $45. Now about to try installing KI and Xbox Fitness.

Walked into Wal-Mart around 12:45 am. Place was dead. Was just there for Dead Rising and Forza. Guy said they got 10 Consoles in and about 50 people showed up.

The games were $49 each, too. I was in and out in five minutes.

Where do you see the install and or download progress? I inserted Dead Rising 3 and it said it needed to download an update. It then said it was starting installing but i can't find any menu showing % completion. This was an hour ago it should've updated installed by now?

Best Buy non pre order experience was awesome! I've been scouting the place for details. Went to the PS 4line to see how things might go. Had a crazy day woke up at 5 AM to be at work. Then my mom had a procedure done and I stayed there for that. Got to Best Buy at about 330 and I was number seven in line. We self-contained line those toward the front and everything went great. Met a bunch of great guys, got introduced to some new bands etc. We all policed
Things Very well with each of us going out for food, taking bathroom breaks etc. They had about 50 consoles there so we definitely all got one in fact they had about two or three left because they only had around 48 people show up by the time I got in which was at about 10:30 PM. It rained through most of the day but I was dressed for it and had an umbrella. Props to my wife who is amazing and stuck with me the whole day although I kept telling her to go home I'm okay but she enjoyed the experience also. I have yet to even open the thing up LOL I was so tired I just put it next to my bed and went to sleep as I have the day off so I have plenty of time to game. They had a lot of nice swag at Best Buy also posters, bookbags, glow lights etc. that we all got and refreshments. I feel like the biggest kid in the world right now! I will post some of the pictures from the events later on today.

Mine is on ups truck. Oddly I never get ups delivery from amazon unless it is shipping from out of town. Usually I get ontrac, the local courier. I guess amazon doesn't trust them with a high value package.

F'ing Amazon - and after their CS rep assured me yesterday that my package was being processed for shipping:

My non day-one version is now in the shipping process, so it looks like I'll still get one today or tomorrow, and I guess $50 off is acceptable, although I'm still going to complain to Amazon about it (and maybe get some free PRIME thrown on top of that).

It was one of those 8am orders earlier this week - I had suspected there was a problem yesterday when my order wasn't being prepped for shipping; however I contacted CS and they assured me my order was in the shipping process and it just wasn't showing online yet.

My issue is with the late notice...they would have known when I talked to them yesterday if the orders were greater than the supply - I would have had a (slim, granted) chance of getting a Day-One version elsewhere. Now, I might as well just keep this order, as I'm not going to find one at retail.
