That's absolutely stellar stuff. Enough to get me to use my PS3 for gaming again, and no game in years has been able to do that.

Holy shit, that is amazing. Don't know exactly what I was expecting, but that's a little more Uncharted-like than I had anticipated. Still, it's different enough for a new IP. Looks really good and intense -- I'm going to have to play it on easy mode as I'm a terrible shot.
Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, 3 & CTR, Jak & Daxter 1, 2 & 3, Uncharted 1, 2, & 3, The Last of Us. That's a pretty impressive resume for one developer.

re: The Last of Us (PS3 and PS4)
I really didn't know much about the game before watching the gameplay video in Youtube, so after a few seconds I thought, hey! that looks like an Uncharted environment/graphics. Then I saw that I was being made by Naughty Dog.
So yeah, Uncharted engine, even the shooting scenes looked like the ones in Uncharted , but in a "zombie" environment.
So, if they do "zombie" thingy right, it's a must for me.
*They are not zombies, right?

The "enemies" in the latest gameplay video don't look like zombies, but in the announcement trailer a few months ago they did.
Maybe not so much traditional zombies, but more like some disease-mutated society a la "28 Days Later" or "I Am Legend".
I agree it definitely has an Uncharted feel to it. I kind of expected that though.

Yeah, I actually think is one of the best engines this generation. I don't know if it's because I play a lot of Unreal Engine based games, that I'm too used to it, but anytime I play Uncharted it looks really great.

Definitely looks and plays like Uncharted, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Probably one of the last games I'll buy on PS3.

Uncharted is a great series so I expect this to be pretty good, glad this company moved from generic platformers to full blown action/adventure games. Now if they could polish up their gameplay a little they'd be top notch.

Some new information:
This makes it seem wonderfully replayable.
* While Naughty Dog stressed that there will be no multiplayer, they also mentioned "there will definitely be some kind of online integration".
* Melee works like an expanded version of Uncharted's melee, where you hit the punch button to begin a "Struggle", and then you hit square to punch while hitting triangle to counter. However, enemies seem to telegraph way less and combat seems much faster.
* The game takes place over a period of several years, with each mission being set in a time period ala Mafia 2.
* Ellie will age throughout the game, ending at around 19 or 20
* Your choices will affect the personality she grows into - she'll be cold if you kill lots, psychologically damaged if you do unnecessary brutal things, etc
* There will be driving sections, but you won't be able to drive cars unless the mission puts you in one
* Stealth and non-lethality is a completely viable option - the section showed at E3 could have been entirely without ever being seen
* It's possible to pickpocket things from enemies - The example Naughty Dog used was you could skip entire firefights by sneaking up on a guy and stealing his keys.

Here is the full vid from the link a couple posts above...

This game looks amazing. Naughty Dog has a pretty solid resume so I'd be shocked if this game doesn't live up to the hype.
