That's really all of the concrete info that was provided. They're waiting to make an "official" announcement with details. This was just a preview of the announcement.

If there was one thing Bethesda should've made from the start of the release should've been this!

So...

Spoiler:
I beat Alduin and no one gives a shit! I thought it would cut to a parade and or at least end credits.

Some more of a scene would have been nice but TES games have never been known for their endings. No credits role so you can continue on adventuring after the main story.

Bethesda accepting applicants for Dawnguard Beta on Xbox 360

Bethesda’s announced that those who wish to participate in the Xbox 3690 beta for Dawnguard should sign up here. Applicants need a registered account on the official forums, so make sure your forum email address is up-to-date. Bethesda will be selecting applicants in about a week. Players accepted into the beta will receive an Xbox Live code to redeem Dawnguard. The beta is the full version, and those participating will not have to purchase the content. Dawnguard is out this summer as a 30-day exclusive Xbox Live for 1600 MS points, after which it will release on PC and PS3.

Is there any clear preference between PS3 or Xbox360 for this game?

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

I think the consensus is that the PS3 version has significantly more issues, bugs, etc. than the 360 version. 360 also has exclusive access to the DLC for a month or so before it hits PS3/PC.

PC version has a number of cool mods if you're into that sort of thing.

Pretty sure my i3 2100 won't hack it.
Gotta be one of the consoles.

Xbox does get the dlc first (even though nothing has come out yet) but I have 200+ hours into this game on a ps3 (and 100% achievements earned) and only had TWO occasions where the system froze. Absolutely no other issues or bugs. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

so what's the deal with dawnguard? does it take place in a new land mass or is it still in skyrim proper with new locations or is that still unknown? Not really that excited about the Vampire crap, but if it takes place in a new area (maybe some realm of oblivion) that would be pretty cool.

Tentatively scheduled for June 26th for 360. New screenshots reveal a Vampire Lord perk tree and Werewolf perk tree.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

Noticed Skyrim PC just updated. Must be for Horse combat. Last night I finished up the Thieves Guild Questline. I was pretty let down as most of the quests were boring. The only good thing was when i received the nightingale blade (Absorb 25 points of health and stamina) My new favorite weapon to use. And the powers you get to choose at the end are pretty cool.

Being a Vampire sucks. I think it's stupid you can only feed at night in a bed. I wanna sneak up on someone and feed on them anywhere. The best place i found to eat is High Hrothgar. Even at my highest level of vampire i was able to find a Greybeard sleeping 95% of the time.

I quit playing right after starting the Thieves Guild questline. It just sapped all the fun out of playing.

I haven't touched the game in a long time and the Thieve's Guild story line is the one remaining major plot line I have to play. I agree, it is just not a compelling series of quests.

Yet I still will wander around in Oblivion for a few hours here or there and discover new stuff even after like 60 hours and completing most major things. Weird how that works.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

I doubt I'll get picked, I was most likely too honest about the questions and somehow 80 hours of playing time is probably not enough when they have folks with a couple of hundred hours. But here is hoping.
