Am I the only one that thinks the graphics look like ass? Sometimes when I look around at the city, it's a mess. Not all the time. Up close is fine. But often I'll look at a building a block or two away and it's full of wavy/broken lines.

On the other hand, I'm happy to play a bright, colorful shooter. Most shooters are so dingy and grim. This is a nice change.

Unrelated... I really had fun when in act 3. Except for the lame ass song Wolvie sung...that wrecked it a little.

Ran into a bug in Act 2 Chapter 3, where Ishii and that chick are supposed to be following me, but it turns out they stopped some time back, and then some turbine falls and smashes a bridge, but I can't do anything but wait for the bridge to fall, where I either get stuck in an object as I'm falling, or fall through the world. Sounds like others have hit this same bug as well, and the only fix is to restart the chapter (restarting the checkpoint didn't help). Fucking bullshit.

I'm on the 360. Maybe it's my TV. Bit often when I'm looking in the distance at thin lines (powerlines, building/window edges, etc) it looks like a series of dashes instead of a solid line.

I rented it and started playing yesterday afternoon. Now, I'm on Act 5 - Chapter 1, on 'very hard' difficulty. So far, I'd just have to say it's decent. The high expectations that I had for it haven't been met and it's become another over-hyped Epic Games release - at least, in my opinion. It's nowhere near a bad game by any means, but I don't think it's close to being great either. Despite the score-based combat mechanics, the gameplay feels somewhat basic and pedestrian.

I've also experienced a couple of glitches. The one that affected the gameplay the most was in Act 3 - Chapter 1, where you're introduced to the snipers/sniper rifle. After I cleared out the towers of snipers and then cleared out the wharf, I couldn't progress because Ichi had disappeared. I tried reloading the checkpoint a few times, but he was still nowhere to be found, and he was required to open a door. So, I had to restart that chapter. I've heard of others having a similar issue in other sections of the game, such as the dam/raft section.

I'm glad I rented it instead of buying it. I'm enjoying it, but nowhere near as much as the hype led me to believe I would be.

I'm kind of surprised how few people on my friends list are playing this. I figured more people would be on it, given the amount of pre-release hype. Anyone else notice this, or is it just a result of who is on my friends list?

Maybe I missed something, but is the only way to get a charged shot (or a thumper) by buying it? I figured as long as I had 100 bullets I could make one, but I guess not...

The PC CD Key I purchased from the UK turns out not to be functional at present. Reading all your comments here, I decided to get a refund instead of waiting for a potential fix later. I'll either grab it some time in a Steam sale for the PC or get one of the (presumed) flood of used 360 copies that I'm sure we'll see everywhere after the GoW beta ends (a la Crackdown).

My question is : Is this one of those EA games that won't let you play online multiplayer without an online code (i.e. "Project $10) that would make a used copy kind of worthless?

It's not actually. Until today I thought it was as well. I had rented the game and it didn't contain the code so I thought I was effed on playing any of the Anarchy mode. I thought it was pretty shitty that they didn't even offer a free trial at the beginning of the game as they have with all the other EA releases thus far. You only had the option to enter your passcode or buy one. Turns out all that does is unlock a few bonuses. (6 exclusive Echoes maps and "The Unique Silver Leash")

Anarchy mode appears to be free to play for anyone. I just partied up in a quick match to verify. No issues at all.

Man is this game glitchy. I've had it happen to me twice now where my character's arms just freaked the fuck out and flailed around. After a few seconds, they'd go back to normal, but whatever weapon I was previously holding all of a sudden had zero ammo and zero charge shots. Fucking annoying. I've also had the game lock up on me like 3 times now.

Anyway, the game was fun for a while, but now I'm on Act 7 and I'm just waiting for it to end. The general is also one of the most fucking irritating video game characters of all time.

ok well I had the glitch in chapter 3 where Ishi Sato is just gone. Restarting checkpoint does not help, and I am not sure I even want to start the chapter over again. This is bulletshit.
