Just started a mock transaction, this is already after I've logged in and am in the shopping cart:

Payment Options
Order Summary

Subtotal: $19.99
Estimated Tax: $0.00
Handling: $0.00 FREE!
Total: $19.99

Looks like they have worked out the tax kink.

Ps+ 3 month codes for 6.50 on ebay while they last

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PSN-Playstat...item336d9947b8

I got 4 from a different seller that recently sold out, got them in 10 minutes and all worked. Apparently these are the codes won from an uncharted promotion

I now have ps+ until 10/31/2012 for only 26 bucks, now that's a damn deal. Posting this in the psn thread also so more can see it.

Thanks. Got some. My only issue is that I can't believe I just supported someone who scams the system.

I am not even sure which promo gave these away. If it's some kind of code promo on subway sandwiches or something then I'm not sure you can scam it.
Ok, they probably took reams of subway cups and wrappers. We can only hope that the guy works for them and gets fired or something lol.

Same boat. Smells fisher than a Footlong Tuna on honey wheat, but for an extra year at $28, I couldn't pass it up. Got four cards.

I bought a digital code off bestbuy.com when they disappeared off Amazon. The transaction went just fine. The only thing is that it takes about a half hour for the code to be emailed to you. On Amazon it's more or less instantaneous.

It's from Subway's Taste for Adventure promo. And if you win the PS+ sub, you can only win it once per account. So if this guy has 50+ of them, it means he created at least 50 accounts. But I'm sure he has a bunch more than that.

And I've never won anything in that promotion after playing it more than 25 times -- legitimately.

Also posted this in the PSN thread, but in case someone doesn't see it...

How do you check when your PS+ subscription ends? I signed up for it when it first came out well over a year ago, and it's still active. I never renewed it, unless it did it automatically. Where does it say when it expires?

go to your account outside of the store and go to I want to say services. You should see it in there, click on it and it will show the expiration date. You can also turn off auto renew in there.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

Anyone else get this email? I don't remember spending $60, and I certainly don't have my credit card # on file.

Congratulations, your $60 spend last month has earned you a $10 credit to spend on PlayStation®Store.

Your credit is awaiting you on your PS3™. To redeem, check your PS3™ system Message Box found under the Friends icon on the XrossMediaBar (XMB). Your credit expires on December 7th, 2011 so be sure to redeem your credit today!

It should be easy for you to verify whether you spent $60 last month just by looking at your purchase history on the PSN store.

Also, you wouldn't have to have a credit card on file to spend $60 or to receive the credit. They apply such credits to your account wallet, the same as if you add a PSN points card. My credit card number has never been anywhere near PSN.

It sounds like a phishing thing (note the mangled English "your $60 spend"), but I don't see what they're after. Unless the idea is that they send you a PSN message requesting your CC number to "redeem" the credit.

I think it's just a misspelling. The $10 promo credit is being sent to users via XMB message as an attachment.

it actually looks legit. I was thinking PSN made a mistake and sent me $10 because I know I've only spent $20.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

Looks like for all upcoming PSN purchases, it'll be limited to 2 PS3's, and 2 PSP's for activation at one time. The one positive about this is that it looks like they'll have a website where you can activate/deactivate your system instead of having to do it through your system or contact Sony directly if your system is dead. No doubt this is a response to the people who share PSN content with their friends. Thanks guys...

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

I'm surprised they ever allowed 5 systems. I guess they were following the iTunes model, but that's a case where people generally have the same stuff stored on more devices.

I wonder if this is a sign that they're going to offer more full games for download. I always figured that before consoles switch entirely to digital distribution, there would have to be a transition period in which every game is available either for download or on disc. PC gaming is pretty much there now. So maybe they're going to do that soon, and they (understandably) don't want massive sharing of $60 games.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

anyone want one of the public beta codes for Starhawk? it came with Uncharted and I have absolutely no interest in it. first to respond that wants it. only stipulation is you have to be a regular poster here. not some random lurker, even if you did register here in 2001.

Has anybody received their $10 PSN credit for spending $60 in October?
