It's just that other games are referenced more in this forum, but based in the two threads for this game this game should be more mentioned IMO.

Well just an update: I did get Bioshock working thank God. I right clicked on the shortcut, then properties, then in the target window I add "-dx9"

once i did that it started working.

Well, I decided to start playing this again. Popped it in my 360 and my last game save was from November 2007.

Played for about 4 hours and finished it. The final battle was WAY too easy (I was playing on Easy... just so I could get through it quickly while not losing focus on the story).

What a fucking awesome game. I remember losing interest in it back in 2007, but I have no idea why.

I can't wait to start Bioshock 2 now (still sealed!). By the time I'm done, Infinite will be $20.

Just played through this on psnow. It has been years since I played it, and was in the mood for some Bioshock. Spoilers..

The game holds up very well. The combat, progression, story, setting, sound design and pace really elevate it to a high level. I was immediately sucked in again.

The game of course hits its peak with the Andrew Ryan confrontation. I am not sure how they could have, but they really should have finished the game right there. After that high everything feels tacked on, and the final hour really lost a lot of steam. From the moment you put on the big daddy helmet and your vision is obstructed (who thought this was a good idea?) to the forced escort mission to the horrible final boss...it almost feels like a different team work on the final 1/3rd of the game.

Still one of the best games of last generation. Easily worth playing again if you have not played it in 8-9 years.

God, it's been nearly 9 years already. I keep hoping they would do some sort of definitive edition for the series, which is the only reason I finally played through Infinite a couple weeks ago. I guess they might be holding it back for the 10th anniversary.

It is funny you say that because when I realized it had almost been 10 years I thought it might be possible we see a 10 year anniversary edition for the ps4/xbox one.

I doubt it, now that Irrational is defunct and 2K has bigger fish to fry. I think that's one of the reasons they allowed Backwards Compatibility with PS Now and Xbox One.

But it'd be an easy collection to slap together, I just hope they up the poly count in BioShock before releasing it if they do.

They could just do the PC ports of all 3 in one package for $60. I think the only reason the original Borderlands was left out of the Handsome Collection is because the PC port was shit.

This game is still in my top 10 list. Wouldn't mind playing a "remastered" edition a next-gen system someday.
