Can someone verify which is the original drive, Philips or Thomson? I can't find the thread where it's mentioned?

I am pretty sure it is the Thompson drive.

Well, I got my XBOX back and way sooner than I expected. I sent it out Wed morning and they returned it to me yesterday (Monday). It even had a Saturday delivery sticker, but since I was gone Saturday I have no idea if they tried to deliver it. Still, 5 day turn-around is pretty damn good (and I just happened to call in sick monday too ).

I haven't had a chance to fully test it out, but it held up through 4 hours of XBOX LIVE and Encalve played perfectly (it used to crash after every level or if I paused it). I still need to test out Serious Sam.

So far, it looks like MS came through on this one.

Oh yeah, I still have all my saved games and music intact. I'm not sure what they fixed, but I still have a Thomson drive in it.
