I'm not a Kate fan so Willy and Kate's story has me struggling to not hit FF on the remote. That said, Eve Best plays Kate's mother and Eve plays one of my favorite characters on House of the Dragon, Princess Rhaenys Targarye.

Finished it tonight and the final 3 episodes of the season were better than the first 3. These last 2 seasons weren’t as good as the first 4.

I was surprised they ended the story right after Charles and Camilla’s wedding.

I did like the scene at the end with Staunton in the foreground with Olivia Colman and Claire Foy behind her.

I had no idea about the whole Kate/William thing - is that actually true - especially with her mom's maneuvering? If so, damn. Yikes. That is creepy.

I thought the Tony Blair episode was very good.

I thought the 1945 flashback was very well done. Though I have a hard time seeing the future Queen dancing with a black American GI.

Yeah, good scene.

I wasn't surprised that they ended it there. I'm guessing they didn't want to tread too far forward.

Just glad we got to see Harry in the Nazi costume. And at Phillip's response to the costume shop on the authenticity.

I was aware of a film or 2 about their VE Night out but assumed they were fictions. But The Crown made me google it, and yeah, it happened

Just finished the series today. Thought it was well done and acted throughout.

Agree with this. We finished up finally as well. I think the last episode finished rather strong compared to the rest of season 6. Same with series 1-4 being the strongest.

I think I already said this, but series 1-4 worked so well because it was focused on historical events with Crown life intersecting, along with insights into their relationships and evolution. By opposition, season 5 and 6 focused more on the family and especially Diana.

Also, as much as all the casting was good, neither of us cared for Harry.

Also, I thought it would have done well to put up a tittle card that said something about Phillip’s outcome and the Queen’s. Something simple, like: Queen Elizabeth went on to serve another 18 years until she was 96. Her 70 years on the throne was the longest of any British monarch.
