Maybe she was contracted or something? Or maybe they wrote her into the plot in such a way that writing around her would be a pain. She wasn't well-received, so I'd imagine they'll try to use her as little as they can and find a way to get rid of her.

Re: Supernatural (The CW) - Season 11 Discussion Thread - premieres 10/7/15

So I was driving home last night, listening to the classic rock station and was thinking about this show. When was the last time (outside of the catch up montages that bookend seasons) have we had some well done scenes set to some rock? I mean the boys escaping the FBI with a look of "Oh shit" with "Renegade" in the background was awesome. When was the last time they hit the road looking to help people? Dear lord pay Jim Beaver whatever he wants, blow up that stupid bunker, feed Sam some demon blood and explode Rowenas head and get this show back on track. Two dudes in a badass car kicking the shit out of things that go bump in the night while pulling a "Preacher" and looking to kick Gods absent ass.

What they should do is have a team of monsters team up that Sam and Dean have killed or beaten. Call it the Legion of Doom...

Fun episode this week. Very different take being from the perspective of the Impala. Story was very simple. Sam and Dean beating the shit out of and being attacked by demons.

One of the better episodes we've had in the last like 4 seasons imo.

The car episode was pretty good, I think mostly because the car perspective forced them to change the rote direction this show usually takes.

I've actually been enjoying this season quite a bit more than I thought I would so far. The Darkness has the potential to be a pretty cool villain, and watching Crowley play dad trying to control her is kind of funny.

It looks like according to the network, if the boys want to, season 12 is a go. I hope they agree. I like both the show and the characters. Besides the brothers, both Castiel and Crowley are great and the actors really fit the parts. The 4 of them make a hilarious team.

And after all, God has to make a comeback, right?

The CW has basically said Supernatural will remain on the air as long as Jared and Jensen want to remain. Some of their other shows have been getting shockingly low ratings.

I think that was the edict since season seven. That was the last one with any drama of the actors vs studio. I don't think ever of these guys do anymore between season acting jobs anymore.

So the Darkness is God's sister? Between that and Dean-Darkness dynamic, the setup so far as has been surprisingly interesting. This could play out to be a pretty cool season, all things considered. It's been much better so far than I thought it'd be.

Looks like we might finally see Michael again. Maybe he and Lucifer are the only ones powerful enough to stand against the Darkness.

Count me in for this season. I enjoyed the hell out of the Impala episode and went back to watch the rest S11.

I'm pretty sure Dean is destined to date the Darkness once she fully grows up.

Is Lucifer scratching the wall on the other side? I bet he knows how to get rid of the Darkness.

This has been a surprisingly good season. We're probably due for some filler episodes though.

I'm betting Lucifer and Michael combined are the only ones powerful enough to have a chance of stopping it.

Will they really bring Lucifer back? That actor isn't coming on Supernatural anymore and this show has done everything possible to avoid messing with the characters that were around when Kripke was still running things.

I agree with others that this season is hitting on all cylinders, so far. Hopefully they can keep it up.

Where'd you hear that? They had a version of him who existed in Sam's imagination after the wall around his soul came down for a while. I just assumed that he hadn't returned because they didn't want to foot the bill to fly the actor out to Vancouver.

The final shot was pretty explicitly an image of Lucifer's Cage.

How do? Crowley and Castiel both came out of the Kripke era, and there was that whole plot about Castiel facing off with Raphael. Plus Death, who was introduced in what was first going to be the penultimate episode, who's now had several guest spots.

Diverting but largely uninteresting filler episode. Judging by the preview for next week, after the surprisingly engaging first part of the season, we're in for some filler, unfortunately.

It's nice to get a good monster of the week episode once in a while. That bunny head was really creepy, and Sam in the elevator with the clown was awesome. Also, it was nice to see Sheriff Donna again. She has good chemistry with the boys.

Funny episode last night. Great watching the girl's mom unknowingly smear herself with Glitter's blood.

Re: Supernatural (The CW) - Season 11 Discussion Thread - premieres 10/7/15

Where is Death when you need him? The greatest evil in the universe is a supermodel's cleavage ! The Hell effects were nice in this episode. Simple, but it made the most of the production values. WTF happened to Michael? He's supposed to be down there with Lucifer! Mark Pelligrino kills it as Lucifer, as always. Great to have him back. They wisely used Rowena sparingly. Her crush on Lucifer was kind of funny. I kind of like the pop theology. Simple, but nice.

Last season was a little wobbly, but when you consider that is now season 11, it's going remarkably well.

Seriously, where's Michael?! Is it just ignoring him?
